I have a large wager on Villanueva under 4 strikeouts.  Do you like my chances, will the cubs hopefully pull him quickly because he gave up 2 runs in the first inning and had 28 pitches?  He&#x27;s already got 1 strikeout so im nervous.

apropos of nothing.....hitters who get ultra conservative on 3-0/3-1 counts and pitchers who become timid on 2-2/3-2 counts.....what's the deal?

As someone who played on competitive travelling teams most of his formative years, my coaches always encouraged me to swing on favourable counts if I was disciplined enough to get myself into such a scenario. Barring any control issues, the best pitch you'll be dealt is on a 3-0/3-1
