"Ive already said that yes owners pocket money and they are doing
nothing wrong because that money pocketed would nto put them in the
playoffs anyway. They have no shot of getting a premium FA if the
Yankees, Sox, Angels, Dodgers, Mets, Cubs, etc want the same player."
They are doing nothing wrong????????? Think what you may, and I never said the Yankees don;t have an advantage, all bigger markets do.... all I said is that the Smaller markets have the money to compete on a regular basis! If you can't see that than I'm sorry....
The St. Louis Cardinals completely contradict your argument I could careless what else you have to say Good bye!

im not a yankee fan or a philly fan but its pretty pathetic that it took 300 million dollars for the yanks top finally make it back to the series. And i really hope thye blow this 3-1 lead. i wanna see what they would do next would they come back next year with a 600 million dollar payroll?? probably.

The Yanks have blown bigger series leads than this before . . . *ahem** 2004. No matter which of these two teams wins, they're both pretty terrible.
What have the Yanks hit through the entirety of the post season? What, about a buck 60. Considering all the terrible pitching they went up against, that's just sad.
If NYY didn't have "Mo", they wouldn't have anything.
Like Yogi said, "it ain't over 'til it's over".
I think it's really sad and pathetic who Yankee fans like to pretend this is some kind of glorious moment. You spent all this money and your team still sucks. If you don't recognize what it plain-as-day to many others, then you just don't understand baseball. Go back to cheering for the Knicks.

The Yankees don't have to be smart about their money. They can go out and blow millions on bench players. The difference in revenue sharing is that yes TB might get money, but they also don't have any luxury boxes and if they did not many would be sold. They don't charge the same for tickets, they don't charge the same for concessions and don't charge the same for anything. You don't get a lot of die hard fans unless you are good. They are stuck. Whoever wants to argue about this is onlny seeing it from one side.

The Pirates have also spent the most in the draft and international signings over the past 3 years. So those who say they aren't using the money they receive are WRONG.
