Cards: Wainwright has thrown eight scoreless innings in each of his last three meetings with the Astros, going 3-0 while limiting them to a .185 average. He's made things especially difficult on veteran slugger Carlos Lee, limiting him to one hit in 26 career at-bats. The left-hander is 1-6 with a 6.44 lifetime ERA against the Cardinals -- his highest ERA against any team he's faced more than twice. He lost all four of his starts against St. Louis last season.  Houston is 1-10 in its last 11 games facing St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright. Carlos Beltran is 6-for-16 (.375) with two home runs against Happ.

Lost my parlay yesterday but I was able to win 2k on the dodgers. Leaning towards 1-2 parlays and one single bid - maybe on Texas for 3k...

Please help me understand why everyone thinks St Louis has to win this game? Houston is straight workin them this series. Cards are not hitting at all.

still early but the over does look good.
  • Over is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings.
  • Cardinals are 4-0 in Wainwrights last 4 road starts vs. Astros.
  • Over is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings in Houston.
  • Cardinals are 10-1 in Wainwrights last 11 starts vs. Astros.
  • Cardinals are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings.
  • Astros are 0-4 in Happs last 4 starts vs. Cardinals.

Konerko is 8 for 20 with three doubles and a home run off Porcello, and 6 for 18 with two homers in five games against Detroit in 2012.

Dunn, the team leader with 22 RBIs, has one hit -- a double -- in three at-bats versus Porcello.
