I currently have a bet on the Astros to win WS, cost was $1,700 to win $2,600. Is the smart move to take Nationals -115 to win WS and bet $1,950 on them. That way if Nats win I breakeven and if Astros win I make $650. This is my first time betting on futures and I'm just not sure how to play this - thanks! I had a separate thread which everyone was very helpful on and told me to wait after game 3 and pray Astros won, thankfully they did!
Thanks,
Pete

the smart move is to get better odds after todays game. Astros bullpen is so underrated its funny. They shut down the rays/yanks and they are far superior then the Nats bullpen.
After tonight you'll get the Nats at +200

Agreed, Astros roll tonight and tomorrow with Cole. If the Astros win tonight the series is over. It’s cool the Nats made it to the series but that’s as far as this story goes

Like these guys are saying, wait and hope the Astros give you another win tonight and you can get +$ odds on the Nats tomorrow.
Then DON'T BE STUPID. You will have gotten back to the point of being able to guarantee yourself a nice profit. That little demon on your shoulder is going to whisper in your ear "everything is fine now, the Astros will win easily" and excite you to greed. No such thing is absolutely, positively guaranteed and you will regret being greedy the instant the Nats win another game. This is not the time for greed, it is the time for discipline. If the Astros win tonight and you do not do it, don't come back with anymore whining. You will have had two shots at guaranteed profit and passed on both.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn
