We are in agreement on most as I would suspect. Our differences:

Cubs
Reds
White Sox
Indians

I think the oddsmakers did a really nice job setting numbers this year. Last year a few jumped out as instant plays, this year not nearly as many.

I really do love the Cubs team and what they are doing I just think they are 1 year away. 2016 I believe they overtake the Cardinals, but they will be fun to follow and see how the kids develop this year. Cubs, Padres, Mariners, Blue Jays and Rangers are teams that have me interested in seeing how they play out this year.

I appreciate the support for my hometown O's! Gotta disagree with your Houston call though, call me crazy but I'm beyond bullish on them this season. The only thing in their way is a tough division. I like your Padres call too, finally got some offense to support their pitching.

Our two teams in Ohio seem to be going in opposite directions. The Reds are a team with a lot of question marks going into the season. Who will replace Latos and Simon in the rotation. According to the paper yesterday they have a young Cuban player named Iglesas who may be ready to,step in. Their offense will depend on which Votto shows up this year, will Phillips return to form and can Frazier play up to last year's stats.  I think that in their division they will struggle this year and 79 may be generous.

As for the Indians they are putting a lot of faith in a young pitching staff but their division seems to be up for grabs every year so I like the Over in their case.

It is not support, but rather, the least of four evils. The Red Sox, Yankees and Blue Jays are such a mess they are going in on a wing and a prayer. Competitive balance should rule the AL East this year, but that should not be construed as power as the whole division could come down to a three way coin flip on September 30th.

With the exception of Cueto that staff sux buddy. Nobody wins once a week on pitching and four times on offense, even if some guys do enjoy a bounce back year. There is hope for Iglesias but he won't be pushed early in a weak season. It would not surprise me to see Cueto dealt and Iglesias the replacement for his slot, but that won't cure anything this year.

It might be a case of me buying when everyone's selling but I think the Reds will creep over the number. I am not saying they are going to the playoffs but Cuerto/Bailey (Likely to be held back a bit early), Leake Cingrani and Desclafini has some potential to be better than many think. I think Votto will bounce back nicely, as will Jay Bruce, and Bird should ht well in that park as well as long as he can continue to hold off father time. Mesoraco behind the plate and a declining but still decent Phillips and I don't think it is a huge stretch for them to be an 81 win team.

I like the Baltimore OVER 81.5 as well. They won 96 games last year and I think they still have the best offense in the division. Even if the starting pitching takes a expected statistical regression, they still have enough talent to finish over .500.

I also really like Texas OVER 78.5. seasonwintotal.com has it as their Free Pick.

Cueto will definetly be dealt away. I look for the Reds to be out of it by the All Star Break. I do not see Votto.bouncing back and Phillips is over the hill. The Res need a complete revamping and the trouble is their farm system stinks and they don't have the money for free agents.

I'm not sold on St Louis this year, like them under......Also like TB under as well.

 

Over plays include KC, Cubs, Baltimore, Arizona, Oakland and maybe SD

Sometimes its easier to look at the 162 game record. Every team is likely to win 60 & lose 60.
So...
SD 84-78 or better looks good
Mets 80-82 or worse
Texas 79-83 or worse
Brewers 79-83 or worse
Wash 94-68 or better in that division
AL East everyone finishes 81-81 (bet accordingly)

Twins will be upgraded this year.  Bringing Ervin Santana, Stauffer, and bringing back Tori Hunter will make them a middle of the AL Central pack.  Measured by games puts them at 76-80 wins.  Also Molitor will help this club.

On the other hand KC losing two front line pitchers has got to hurt, both in wins and club morale.  I guess one good season was enough for the owner's.

Latos was a clubhouse cancer in SD as well as in Cincy. His departure is a bigtime boost with their team chemistry. He is now the Marlin's problem. Good talent but a very questionable attitude.

 I agree with your take on the Reds.
