Bored at work on a slow Friday. So here are my thoughts on this game:
1) Phillies need this game. Holding onto the 3rd WC spot by the short hairs, and there are only 7 games left in their season.
2) Phillies are 13-2 straight up ML vs Nats this year so far, and 10-5 covering on the RL
3) Phillies have outscored Nats 102-52 on the season, and hit Nats pitching at a .274 clip......Nats only hit .238 at home, and have the worst home record in MLB
4) Phillies have lost 5 straight
5) Fedde has only pitched against the Phils once this season, 3 weeks ago, and he couldn't get out of the 4th inning. In general he is ripe for beatings.
6) Falter is no ace, has seen the Nats twice, although the Phils won both of those games, it was definitely NOT because of him, he is in no way helping my decision.
7) Nats have had more AB vs LHP than any other MLB team in 2022. They are middle of the pack with a .246 AVG vs LHP, but only have 19 AB on the entire team vs Falter, whereas this Phils team has seen Fedde over 100 times between all the players.
From a spot perspective, I naturally like the Phils. Losing streaks end, and I would imagine they have to come into this game with some sort of urgency. I am not comfortable laying -220 with Bailey Falter on the mound, so I am gonna take the RL -1.5 @ -118. Phils have covered the RL vs Nats in 10 of 15 games this year. Seems reasonable. Lets see what happens.

Good write up. The big concern for me is Philly’s been pressing during this losing streak and they look like they can’t handle the pressure.
Washington has nothing to lose and will be the much looser side. I agree -200+ is ridiculous and it’s Philly runline (or -1)if you play that side. Just hard for me to pull the trigger on a team that appears unable to handle the moment. I want to back them b/c they have so much to play for, but just can’t trust them and have to pass.
wishing you the luck that they right the ship today.

Thanks. Coming down to 8 at some book. Going to put 25% of what I usually bet on no score first inning. If a run does come in, going to hammer the under live
Til death do us under

Agree, they do not instill much confidence based on how they have been playing, I just have to imagine these guys are focused today going into a double header vs these Nats.
The sheer shame alone of not using this gift of a spot they have in front of them today (Fedde GM 1, and still no starter named for GM 2) should motivate them.
I am no Phillies fan......the spot just seems enticing for me. Plus it is Friday, I am at my job, and I ain't got shit to do.........
Plus I am just betting the sweet Bengals money I made last night. I almost feel like I cheated.......
For some reason one of my book's live betting interface flipped the possession indicator to the Bengals and left a decent value ML Bengals bet available for like 10 seconds before they took all the bets off the board for the remainder of the game. They didn't have a spread, just a ML. The interface is naturally ahead of the live game feed on the TV, so I saw the possession indicator on the book flip to Cincy while the Dolphins were driving late in the 4th, and the ML option was -263 at that very second with like 2:30 left, so I figured Teddy threw a pick......Sure as shit, next play, Teddy throws a pick.......and they didn't pull down the live bets yet, so I tried to get in a max bet on the Bengals ML at -263......and they accepted it. 10-12 seconds later they took all the bets off for the game. I imagine someone may have gotten in trouble for this lol, because it really seemed too good to be true, and I couldn't have been the only degenerate that was waiting to see if the live bet system would get caught with it's pants down. Bengals -263 ML while up 12 points WITH possession and 2 minutes left????? Yes......I will take some......thank you.

I get a kick out of watching the live lines move and try to guess what just happened... but I rarely play on it, don't have the gumption lol. Congrats on your Bengals play! ....in mlb you can practically follow the count based on the line changes; a double play is often obvious.
BOL today JDD ...and to all
Champion of gambling mediocrity... this is one heck of a long marathon!
