hahaha, okay, guess I'll have to dumb it down.........

There seems to be a lot of debate whether Verlander should win the MVP and whether a pitcher should win the award.
I'm saying, if any pitcher is going to win the MVP award it should be Halladay.  He's having a better season than Verlander and there are less impressive position players in the NL.

Verlander is a lock for the A.L. Cy Young AND a viable candidate for MVP. Halladay might not score either award in the N.L. Maybe CY, no chance for MVP

CC is arguably having a better season.  Give him Verlander's .237 BABIP and see how he does. 

How does he have no chance?  He's had a better season than Verlander and doesn't have the superior positional players to compete against for the award. 
You're argument holds no weight.

The problem w/ Halladay's chances for MVP is that the Phils are loaded.  If Halladay were out for the year, they'd still win the NL East and have a great shot @ the World Series.

Detroit is nothing w/o Verlander. They don't sniff the playoffs w/o him b/c the rest of their pitching is so suspect

Also, he pitches in the National League.  Everyone knows that is less challenging.

The Tigers are 12.5 games up right now.  Verlander isn't worth that much.  They make it if he's not there. 

....so there goes that argument.

i think the tigers are under .500 when someone besides verlander pitches.. so i think Verlander deserves it more for that stat alone.. Phils also have Lee and Hamels.. i think Lee wins Cy Young too

just they opposite, verlander is worth that much and they wouldnt b there if hes not there.  on the other hand ur other part of the argument that he has better numbers is wrong as well.  same era, more strikeouts,  more wins and 1 out of every nine batters doc faces is a pitcher.  no comparison, u must be dumb.  and ur a sad sad SAF

Stop embarrassing yourself. C.C. is 15.6% of the Yankees wins with 4.54 runs per game of support. Verlander is 27.9% of the Tigers wins with 4.59 runs per game of support. You must be a die hard Yankee fan to think C.C. is in the race. He may get a biased New York vote, Weaver may get a biased L.A. vote, and Lester may get a biased Boston vote, but if there were any justice involved Verlander would be a unanimous selection.

So Halladay wins in era and cg's officially. Considering the difference in leagues I think everyone who actually knows baseball would agree Verlander's era is more impressive. So Halladay only wins in cg's but has also thrown less innings on the year. So explain to us how Halladay has better stats.
