Bard does not suck 


202 ip compared to 140 total hits 

7 of the 8 hits he gave up where singles 

6 of them through the infield 

6 strikeouts in 5 innnings pitched... cmon ppl look into shit a bit better

Last week, COL/SF day game - everyone on OVER and Giants blanked the Rockies 7-0. OVER did not hit.

This past weekend, MIN/TEX - everyone the OVER, Twins couldn't plate a final run with runners on 2nd & 3rd w/no outs in the last inning. OVER did not hit.


This "bloodbath" (I hate that term used here on Covers ||angry.gif' border=0>) is setting up the same as the previous 2 games I listed.

Prior to last year, Shields didn't know what a changeup was, much less how to throw one. Now he mixes speeds as well as anyone in the game. A much different,improved pitcher than he was in most of those Fenway starts.

5 innings of that 202 is pitches thrown as a starter. Not sure what the 140 hits has to do with anything being that he wasnt a starter. He was great as a setup man till the end of last year. He was good at North Carolina as a starter.. Not sure what that has to do with pitching in the majors.

He has potential to be good but who knows how that will end. He is in the transitional stages again right now to become a starter again.

And my fade yanks first 5 against pitchers they have never seen.. Eventhough i am editing that play a little to pitchers they have never faced and not much info on the pitcher.. Good thing i didnt play ole Jerome last night.
