When Cubs are the first and only day game, you choose them at your own peril. Apologies for the gutter ball--I was looking at the replay of the starting pitcher in that unremarkable 1st inn (forgot his name...) and he was not aggressive, just laying pitches in there very softly. Cubs do this year in and year out, and I knew the history, but it was worth it to learn not to do it again. Let the sting go, move on and let's not regress (like that pitcher this AM--what's his name...?)

Rollins has been out; Ruiz has been out. Ibanez's struggles continue to hurt. The pitching, which is still good, still misses Happ, Madsen, and a healthy Lidge. Hard to compete on a daily basis w/o the 8th inning and closer out for the 1st 1/3 of the season. Without Happ, Kendrick gets thrown out there every 5th day.
H. Ramirez is hitting .360 at home.

Want to see one more game from Hughes. Is the league catching on to him? Carmona is bi-polar. Not sure what we'll get. Should be Yanks in a rout. Will pass tonight however for other plays.
