Games of the Day

With last night going exactly as expected hitting the 2 game parlay of the Red Sox and Indians, it’s time to add a little more cushion to the bank roll.

The Chicago Cubs are playing the Cardinals well and we have to give them credit so far, but I cannot see the Cubs sweeping this series and fully expect the Cardinals to put up a large number of runs today.  With Lance Lynn (3-0) taking the mound today and only giving up 3 earned runs (1 per game) so far this year, I see history repeating itself and the Cardinals coming out on top in this early afternoon start.  St. Louis Cardinals (-152)

As much as the Royals are better than their current record, I plan on them running their losing streak up to 13 today.  The Indians are finally looking like the team they should be at home and building confidence with every home victory.  Jimenez is taking the mound and is a perfect 2-0 with a 3.75 lifetime era against the Royals (win against the Royals on April 15^th).  The even -better news, the Indians are going to be facing Hochevar who is 4-8 with a 5.81 era lifetime against the Indians.  Cleveland Indians (-135)

The Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals entering into game #7 are in a do or die mode.  With the length and toll of this series, I fully expect a couple of poor turnovers and as it is hard to win a series without scoring goals, I expect there to be a minimum of 5.  Keep in mind this is not typical mid season hockey, the goalies could be pulled with 2+ minutes left in the game if this is a 3-1 game.  With the scoring opening up in the last couple of games I think this number should be at 5.5 so I feel pretty safe taking the over at 5.  The score can always be run up, but you can never take the goals back. 2* Boston vs Washington – Over 5

Most books are not offering the Cleveland Indians game anymore so I recommend making a smaller wager and laying the 152 on the Cardinals game for a 1 unit profit. 

I don't reommend laying this much juice frequently, but there are certain times and situations where the juice is worth the squeeze .
