"On Sunday night, it'll be Clayton Kershaw against the aforementioned road fraud Domingo German. If there's one player on the Dodgers who needs a boost of confidence in anticipation of a World Series matchup, it's gotta be this guy, right? That's up for debate, but Kershaw to me is not scary at all in October. He needs to pitch great on Sunday."
That's why I thought you liked the Dodgers today. Your original write up was so convincing that it was hard for me to switch sides after reading it. I applaud you for being able to switch gears after the series started - something not all cappers can do.
Great work today Mr. B
Okay, I see what you mean. I remember writing that six days ago, but in between then and now the Dodger bats turned into popsicles, and that turned me against them today. I also liked that while Domingo German was an unworthy and overpriced road favorite in Oakland, today he was a big underdog going up against his idol. He went in with the underdog mentality and rose to the challenge.
<---------- That was Domingo on the team bus to LAX.

I've been waiting this whole Yankees trip, to see the big four in the bullpen raise to the occasion, like they did last night, now Yankees are 23-0 when the big four are being used, in a game with a lead.
This was a weird series, NY could've actually swept the Dodgers, the bullpen was lights out on Saturday also, but Yankees wasted a bases loaded 1 out in the top of the 9th. Regardless of how cold LA bats were in this series, Yankees managed to hand the first home loses of the season, to both of their aces. A little nugget: Kershaw hadn't allowed a HR in 2018 on his curveball, 2 this season before last nights game, and he allowed 2, one to DJ and one to Judge.
Yankees have good numbers in Seattle, they haven't lost a 3 game series there since 2011, as opposed to Oakland, who will come to the Bronx on Friday, for a week-end series. Given how this West Coast swing started, with the sweep in Oakland, taking 2 out of 3 in Seattle and finishing the road trip 4-5, would be a good outcome for the Yankees.
Accomplished time-waster

Speaking of overpriced road favorites, curious as to if you bet the Marlins yesterday? Aaron Nola was -200 on the road and lost.

I would be very surprised if Bator was not on the Royals tonight.
Bailey favored on the road -150. A’s coming off back to back losses at home. (We all know about the consecutive loss road trend but I don’t believe it applies to home losses).
Royals coming off an extra innings victory over the indians and Keller on the mound who pitches well at home.

Any thoughts of backing the cards today, MrB? seems the board is all over the brewers
Adam Wainwright's last four road starts...
July 19th at Cincinnati 3.1 innings, 9 hits and 7 earned runs
July 24th at Pittsburgh 5 innings, 5 hits 4 walks and 4 earned runs
August 4th at Oakland 5.1 innings 6 hits 3 walks and 3 earned runs
August 16th at Cincinnati 6.2 innings 7 hits and 3 earned runs
7.53 ERA and 1.72 WHIP.....nah, I won't be on the Cardinals. I like the Brewers -130. Beware of backing any team that just finished getting softened up by playing the towel-tossing Rockies. Here's what's happened to the last 6 teams in their first game after playing the completely crappy Rockies of Colorado...
August 5th - the Giants lost at home to the Nationals 5-0
August 9th - the Astros barely defeated the Orioles 3-2 as -275 favorites
August 12th - the Padres lost at home to the Rays 10-4
August 15th - the D-Backs lost at home to the Giants 7-0
August 20th - the Marlins lost in Atlanta 5-1
August 23rd - the D-Backs lost in Milwaukee 6-1
So I'm not too impressed with the Cardinals 4-game sweep over a Colorado team that quit on the season eight weeks ago. I can pinpoint the day, June 30th. Look it up if you want to learn why that's the day the Rockies collectively threw in the towel. How fortunate for the Brewers that they get a second consecutive opponent that's coming off of an unchallenging series against the Colorado Quitters. I like the Brewers -130 and -1.5 +140.

No need to be surprised then. I like them in the 1st 5 innings, too.
I didn't have the Marlins yesterday. I gave up trying to win with Derek Jeter's Crew of Losers earlier this month following numerous failures involving Jordan Yamamoto and Sandy Alcantara.

Like them enough to play them?

I arrived at Fanudel at the Meadowlands at around 12 PM EST. I took a seat at the bar which has a nice vantage point of the betting window and sipped on a seltzer for about 45 minutes, watching or perhaps spying on the action being placed. I cannot tell you how many bets I witnessed on the Phillies and the Indians within a 60-minute time span. These bets were by no means small either, I watched multiple wagers placed for thousands of dollars including an Indians/Phillies parlay for $12,000 (sad). Finally, I had seen enough and bet the Marlins +172 for $2,000 out pure principle. I think I may sit at that bar more often and just watch before I get down any bets.

Thanks for the input MrB!
Always love to read your reasoning and analysis.
Through my personal observation for over a decade, when either you, me or some other people I followed pick is on the square side, it was never been good.
So I think I might just pass today and wait for a better dog day. Like the 3rd game of yanks vs A's
Good luck B and stay around for NFL, would ya?

Gio G has weak stuff tonight. Pathetic. Can’t even make a throw to second base , mishandled the easy bunt and the Brewer offense shit on there opportunity to tie it.
Gonzalez is a pig tonight. They will need the AW road pitcher described above Bc GG needs to be pulled down 3 now or it’s gonna be 6
