Then the Dodgers are obviously the lock of the century Tuesday Night. So, are all of you "scripted" and "fixed" boys going all in on the Dodgers?

If it is scripted or fixed then the team who's area suffered human tragedy will win the championship which would be Houston, which game then win it in would be irrelevant, verlander being the old man who signed 2 seconds before the deadline  (the story they just won't stop telling us) then him getting the final win would be a great ending but he could also come in for an inning the next night, who knows but Houston winning the series would a script perfectly if one did think that was the case. It fits the same storyline as New Orleans winning the super bowl right after the devastation of Katrina and the Boston winning the world series right after the Boston marathon bombing. Not saying it is so but it would fit perfectly in with those exact same, perfectly timed human feel good stories.

Last nights game was the greatest World Series game I have ever watched.  I was excited to have Houston get the win to help secure my future bet, but inside I wanted to watch more.  That was great.

Game 6 is the final game.  Houston wins.  They will go all out and do everything they have to win this game.  There is no way they want a game 7.  

Conspiracy has to be on the Houston side because the books will be loaded with Dodgers action on this game.

So far at least you got that backward. Verlander opened +115 and is now -113. 

Conspiracy theories abound; never, never, never backed by evidence. Arnold Rothstein couldn't hide the Black Sox scandal, Nixon couldn't escape Watergate. Bill Clinton couldn't cover up a BJ in an anteroom, but major sports organizations and Vegas have successfully covered up fixes and conspiracies for a hundred years. I'm from Missouri, show me, and don't bother with the "naive" b.s., I've covered that before.

Archilles, why the negative comments towards Key? If he decides to skip some world series games, he has that right. After all, with all the craziness going on in these games, I don't blame him. The juiced balls, the umpiring, and other external factors has made handicapping an up in the air endeavor. 

You are having a good postseason so far, and you should just enjoy the ride and let others who haven't had as good a run alone. As you may know, sports betting is an extremely humbling venture. You don't know who may give you a suggestion in the future that may get you out of a bad slump. 

We are a community and should try to learn from each other. For example, you can learn from Key the importance of using ROI to measure your success as opposed to W-L record.

Backdoor: you enjoyed that game last nite huh? I respect that. Personally, I thought it was a joke. But wait: Conspiracy will be on the Dodgers side? So with the hurricane and the city of Houston paired with the almighty Verlander, you think money will be all over the Dodgers? Listen to the media. I mean from the media, the Astros don't even need to get on the plane. I don't listen a lot to the media but if you do, they often at times tell the public what to do. The Astros don't want a game 7 so that in itself will be the reason why they win tomorrow? Huh? I'm just trying to figure this all out. You think Houston, all by themselves, took that game last nite? oh boy. The Dodgers in no way assisted? Do me a favor: watch the base hit off of Bregemans bat. Watch where the runner is when the ball is picked up in shallow left field. The runner is just touching the bag when the outfielder gathers the ball. Watch the fielder collect the ball, take his time, regather and make one of the weakest throws you will see from a fielder. I think that was what was most surprising last nite: no way that runner should have scored. Just watch the replay. It's eerie to see the effort so half a$$ed in such a big spot.  You can call me crazy all you want but let's wait until game 6 is done to do that because from what I saw last nite, my stance are that much more reaffirmed that the Dodgers will get there's no in game 6. I firmly believe last nite was Houstons game before it even started. I bet on the Dodgers and sure, sometimes I'm on the right side of the f@x and sometimes I'm on the wrong side. I'm not the type though to complain that I lost because of it; I made the wrong bet. Win or loss for me....I think the Dodgers had waaaaaay more to do with the outcome of that game than the Astros and I think tomorrow, the Dodgers force a game 7 because of their role in how game 5 ended. Will I ever have tangible proof? Nope. But will anybody else have proof that the game was pure and played straight up for the 5 hours of video game soap opera antics we witnessed last nite? Nope. I guess it comes down to picking the winner now. I'm glad backdoor you are now sucked in; I'm not and I fully expect we see a game 7. All my opinions bud.

I just don't like the guy. He's a punk and he's extremely condescending. Am I? Yes sir I am but I will NEVER tell anyone to stfu when they ask me questions about my insight or analysis. That's the difference. I've explained my stance before and have very good reason for why I feel the way I do. It's very apparent to many this guy walks on water; I don't see it but with his track record lately and how he starts his threads and treats others when they question his almighty "capping", i think one should have a little bit of production in here to shout from the mountain top and demean others- this guy doesn't. @i can learn from the guy".....? I'm sorry but the last time I checked, all that should matter are your picks and what you bring to the table. Read the threads the last two weeks.....they say it all after he stopped making picks. I think it's great you stick up for him but in my exchanges, I know exactly what I'm getting.

And of course Steve Garvey - famous for another kind of
 Pumping.

It all goes down on Halloween - which brings in another set of conspiratorial sardonic speculation.  Analytics anyone?

Archilles, I'm not sticking up for him but rather for helping and supporting each other. I have offered suggestions/questioned some of his betting philosophies (like the dismissing of sharp money, in which he started incorporating or at least recognizing it in his capping later on in the season) so it's not like I'm saying anyone is perfect. 

The condescending tone, I think, is something that is more his style of writing than his intention (I may be wrong, correct me Key if I am). I'm not a fan of the   smiley but it's not like we have that many options in here.

Then after Houston wins put a nice futures wager on the Vegas Knights to win the Stanley Cup.

Lol, article today says the books in town have over $1 million liability if the Knights win the Cup.  Went from 300-1, now at 40-1.

There is no intent to be condescending or patronizing, but over 60 years of connection to the game and 40 years of experience handicapping it has taught me something, and when a true punk just keeps hammering away, and dishonors his promises, it does tend to anger the old man. The stfu he is referring to was posted because he attempted to set a "trap" question; one to which there is no answer that will not draw yet another weak minded response. If one bad year after nine winning ones turns a capper into cannon fodder for someone like that, so be it. Covers objectives are not the same as yours and mine and that makes him valuable here, so don't look for any changes, but there is no reason I need to respond to him when he demands answers to "trap" questions. He does not enjoy that much clout around here.

I keep going back to it and truly I could care less but when that character told me to stfu and started pointing fingers, that wasnt working for me. Especially from his and his late production on here. Not from him. He perceives himself to be something he's not and part to blame are the ones who support it. I simply asked about his insight and continued wanting to understand more where he was coming from. He got all hussy. I'm all about a community too but it's either we ignore the characters like this and ignore the trolls and leaches who add nothing to this site or we speak up; I guess I'm not fully tI the point of just posting and leaving everything else for others.

One other thing: If a person decides to curtail his wagering, but still feels capable of contributing helpful comments regarding the World Series, why can't that be taken for what it is worth, instead of demanding the poster take a stand every game?

Achilles, as far as your claim that game 5 was interfered with, and this is the main topic here, here's what I think. 

I think pointing to the last play of the game as being the altered play is a stretch of the imagination. Ethier doesn't have a good arm plus he's not played regularly this year to be ready to make a big throw there. He also got a hit in the 10th, if he wanted to throw in the game he'd have struck out. 

Yes, I believe there are external factors that influenced the probability of the Astros winning that game. To me those are mainly the umpiring and the juiced balls. 

As far as the umpiring, there were several pitches that were way inside that were called strikes for Keuchel. That allowed the Astros to remain within reach. The game could have easily escaled to a 6 or 7 run lead for the Dodgers. Instead it was kept at 4 with the help of some very bad umpiring. In addition, inconsistent umpiring affects great pitchers more than it does good hitters. Jansen's 3-1 slightly high pitch to Correa in the 10th was called a strike several times earlier in the game. This throws off the pitchers, and shifts the advantage to the hitters where the Astros hold an edge over the Dodgers. 

The use of altered balls also has the same effect. When you make it harder to throw breaking pitches and make the balls travel with more exit velocity, you are in essence changing the weight of the importance of the pitching advantage of the superior team. So what could have been a 60% pitching 40% offense determining variables, now you had a reverse split. As the Astros are better hitting team, they have been able to reap the benefits of the change in the baseballs being used.

I been on Houston to win the World Series before the playoffs started.  Key will back me on that.  I never once thought about conspiracy.  I believe Houston wins because they have the most consistant and best team in the MLB all year.  They never had to a long streak of winning like the Indians and never had a long streak of losing like the Dodgers and yet kept the best record in the AL and second to the Dodgers in a weaker NL.  As to Eathier's throw, he has never had a good arm.  I am not sure I understand why he was even in the game.  Taking him out for a good Hernandez in the fourth spot didn't make sense, especially when Hernandez has been clutch in pressure situations.  I would question the manager there.  So what I am trying to say is that I have a lot of reasons why Houston wins tomorrow.  They are hands down the better team, especially tomorrow and in this spot. 

Look at the guys the Dodgers depend on in hitting for this series:

Bellinger .200

Taylor .222

Turner .150

Puig .143

Their best hitters has been Forsythe and Pederson.  LOL what a joke that is.  We can go stat for stat and statistics buddy but my original post was purely a response to the topic and in no way a reason for my backing the Astros.peace_5

Employed? yes.......sleep? From time to time. Kaufee: I'm gonna say this buddy and believe me if you want or not: if you keep your eyes and ears open on this site, it can be extremely beneficial for one. In order to get what I want out of capping, sometimes the answers are right in front of you with the individuals who reside in here. I will NEVER brag about winnings or specifics; that's where I draw the line but I can tell you as stated above, pay attention on this site. Time is money amigo, right?

Back door: respectfully, we can chat after game 6 if you'd like. Let's see if your statistics hold up tomorrow. I'm sure last year after game 5, the Indians were the " better team" right? I mean there was no way the Cubs could win 3 in a row with how their stars were playing......Gotta take these mini soap operas gNe to game bud for now we've seen anything goes.
