Guerrero Jr. making his debut tonight for the Jays. Saw him a few years back in Class A ball and he was already a hot item. ![]()

Why are they batting him 5th?

Is it me or is Fike Miers the perfect pitcher for Vladdy debut?

Reynaldo's brother in name Jorge, is -105 for the Royals. He's 0-5 despite a very respectable 1.30 WHIP and decent peripherals. He was the "key element" (I'm a genius) in the Moustakas trade last year. Play the unlucky Lopez, name is Jorge tomorrow. Maybe you'll be luckier than he has been this year.

Oh stop arguing about my point and enjoy the laughter. Old guys tend to lose their humor. I will not.

Sportsfans: There is a “key element” to my LAA/KAC I did not
write up but have not seen mentioned on Covers all day. Most folks leaning
toward the Angels are thinking “decent team – bad team” at a cheap price.
Perhaps not overly exciting and a Skaggs/Duffy matchup probably doesn’t get
anyone’s heart going pitty-pat either. No big deal, right? If Trout outhits
Merrifield Angels win, right?
Think again. Because they are the Yankees and both their
sponsors and MLB want them on TV in prime time, the Yankees and Angels did not
play the standard afternoon series wrap-up
yesterday.
So, the Yankees, Angels, MLB and the TV executives all get
what they want, two major markets on the East and Wests Coasts in prime time.
But, the game lasts almost four hours and at 11 P.M. PDT the
Angels have yet to eat, shower, get to the airport, and make a three hour
flight two time zones to the east, creating a five hour differential for their
body clocks to deal with. Normal sleep and eating times are badly disrupted,
and that, my friends, is known as a handicap. In my humble opinion that
eliminates the simplicity of the decent team – bad team concept.
How many rocket scientist geniuses have you seen take that
into consideration today?

I'm glad you've noticed my "key element" insert prior to me being a genius. It was the play on words which spawned such a comment.
I'm willing to bet the Cheeseburger Royales all weekend. Last game they found their offense again by punishing the Rays 10-2. They actually have some good offensive pieces in place, unlike say...the Pirates or Marlins.

Friday nights tend to be a good road underdog situation. Every body on the DFS forums are stacking the Twins against poor old Alex Cobb tonite. I never liked Cobb even when he was a Ray, but I know he's capable of baffling a team with bullshit on occasion. The Twins offense is hit or miss on any given day, and I think an Orioles bet is in good order tonite.
