I remember one drunken night at the Metrodome, I believe in 2001 when they had a tribute to his dad Jack, who had the famous call after Pucket hit a walk off HR in Game 6 of the '91 World Series "...and we'll see you.......tomorrow night" against the Braves. So Jack (one of the best Broadcasters ever) has passed on and they brought his snotty nose little arrogant punk kid, Joe in for the game.
So I'm stumbling down the concourse to a Suite I was in that Jack Morris, Tim Laudner and Kent Hrbeck were also in and see a group of 5 kids trying to get Joe (who was walking the concourse) to sign some baseballs and whatever else they had. As I walked by, I heard him just belittle these kids (probably about 10-12 years old) and told them to "get the Hell out of my way- I don't have time for your Bullshit". I couldn't help myself. I walked up and said Joe- you're a F*#king Azzhole and couldn't walk a step in your Dads shoes. Who the F*ck do you think you are to treat these kids like that. I bet your Dad is looking down proud of the POS son he brought into this world. If I thought you were worth the time of day, I'd drop you right here. Come with me you guys and I'll get you some autographs that mean something. I wish I had a picture of the look on his face. Thought he was gonna burst a blood vessel
So I walk these kids down to the Suite I was in and told those guys what just happened and they invited the kids in and got them each a brand new baseball and all 3- and about that time Dan Gladden walked in too- and they all autographed them. These kids were in seventh Heaven, and somehow I have a feeling that it got back to that prick Buck
One of those guys that would be asking someone if they wanted fries with their burger at the McDonalds drive through if not for his Dad Joe Buck

Just curious -- what's so bad about Buck?
I'm not defending him at all -- just wondering.

I really wasn't a fan of Joe B at all (one of the worst broadcasters out there today), but then I heard him on a Barstool Sports podcast (Pardon My Take) and I gotta be honest, the guy kinda grew on me a bit since then. If you haven't listened to it check it out, but he came across as way more funny and personable and less douchey than he does during his typical broadcast.

Hog, that's one of the best stories I've heard.
Good for you. I figured he was a pompous azz.

Just curious, but do you think the language you used in
front of those 10-12 year old kids was any classier than Buck’s treatment of
them?
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

First of all Key, Buck had already used the same language to them prior to me saying anything, as his quote was "Get the Hell out of my way, I don't have time for the BullSh!t"- and btw, now that I thought back on it, they weren't trying to get him to sign anything they had. He was walking the concourse with a box of a dozen baseballs and they were asking him for an autographed ball.
Second, it probably wasn't the most proper language to use in front of them and it's no excuse, but 10-12 year old kids today have a WHOLE different vocabulary than we did when we were kids.
Third, Damn right I think the language I used in front of them was MUCH classier than his treatment of them. He was directing his profanity directly towards the kids. I was directing my profanity towards Joe Buck. I then helped completely turn around their perception of celebrities as they were getting snubbed by the SON of a celebrity that was only there because he was Daddy's Boy and got some REAL MLB celebrities to spend some time talking to them and autographing baseballs for them. I'll guarantee they remember Buck as an Azzhole throwing profanity AT THEM, while they remember me (a nobody) as a guy that hooked them up with some celebrities and autographed baseballs.
Do yourself a favor and go watch a group of 10-12 year olds on the baseball diamond or basketball court and you'll hear language that would make you do a double take. I have 2 Nephews that play sports, and these kids are hearing far worse than what I said on a daily basis
Was the language necessary in front of them? Probably not. But given the circumstances I walked into and saw him talking to and treating them in the heat of the moment and exact situation, I would probably react and say the same thing again if it happened tomorrow.
So after all that- the short answer to your original question- most definitely YES. I think the language I used "in front of them" was no doubt classier than Bucks treatment "of them"

I disagree but the discussion is worthless. Just my 2 cents.
So you ask me a question, to which I gave you a reply with my reasoning and more explanation. You disagree with my answer and therefore decide the discussion is worthless.
I find that rather odd that you initiate a question/ discussion and if you don't like or agree with the answer, you then decide the "discussion is worthless". That's about as biased as it gets.
Oh- except for the Artie Lange and Joe Buck discussion that BWS Posted above in #16- that any one of those kids could easily have watched on HBO, which makes my conversation with Joe Buck look like a Disney video

Now that's hilarious Warden . Buck sure can give it out, but can't take any Sh!t. I thought he was going to start crying there . I wish Artie would've lit that cigarette- that would have put Buck over the edge, and I don't think he would ever have come back
