there is no way anyone would be dumb enough to place that kind of bet. no way.
Well, it would be dumb indeed for anyone who used up their entire bankroll to make such a bet, however for people with oodles of money, yes, I'm talking about the rich like lajohn obviously is then this bet is not so dumb.
So, he dropped 18k, no big deal for him, remember he has oodles of money in his pocket. These rich folks have the means to give money away anyway they choose and it's no big deal for them, they have so much of it, they have to spend it some way, some give a lot away to charity and some like lajohn give a lot away to the gambling establishments, it's his money and that's the way he has chosen to give his money away by making large risk bets that has low reward return like the 18k he put down to win 5k. What he is actually doing is just showing off how rich he is that he would dare to make such a bet...lol
