didnt know if i could back hammel today coming off the dl but wtf, im on it
Why the trepidation? Jason Hammel was the Orioles' best pitcher for the first three months of the season before he hurt his knee. He's the guy who threw a complete game 1-hit shutout against the Braves in Atlanta on June 16th, and then followed that up with 8 shutout innings against the Nationals. Normally he's a 6-inning pitcher, and with him on a pitch count tonight, I expect 5 or 6 good innings from him. That's all I'm asking, anyway.
From what I've read, Hammel wil be pitching on normal rest after a rehab start last Saturday in Single A where he threw 5 shutout innings. Prior to that he threw a pair of simulated games in the bullpen.

Fuck the Royals..Had Texas -1.5 and watched Usain Bolt score from 1st base on a single to left center....Dyson had been put in to pinch run....ran on like the 6th pitch...1-2 count ...Hamilton flips it into 2nd base and I was...

Mr Bator , would playing the first 5 be the safer play?

Mr. Bator; Thanks for jumping in with your support. Not much interest in my post untill you jumped in. I actually think it's a stronger play than the matchup with TB, as Tx is certainly not lighting things up at 6-4 last 10 games. I use to hang at the Stardust--It was the best. There will n3ever be another place like it. I know you hung there too, along with you I have endless stories about my time at the dust. Phones out the back door!!
coffee off the cart in the morning along with a sweet role to start the baseball day. Bidding on Sunday night to be one of the first ten to take a-shot at the opening NFL lines. Horse player's, and sports players argueing endlessly. Personalties of ever kind.
I rememeber one of your comments a couple of years back about the Sunday night base ball game--Everyone turned over the line sheet--reviewed the pitcher's and simply to took the better pitcher. Wrong!!
The dust was disney land for a sports bettor.
Good luck to you always and thanks again for stopping in.

The Royals are a prohibitive -230 on the runline today, but if we've learned anything from teenaged sports bettors, it's that you only pay juice if you lose.
