Also, Gordon was sitting on that fastball....if you look at that AB, he swung at every fastball and didnt swing at any of Prices breaking balls....which begs the question, after 6 singles in a row, why didnt they have a meeting at the mound to change the signs?
Clearly KC had picked off their signs, only explanation for the timing of their swings.
It also leads to the next point that why doesnt Price take a break on the mound and some deep breaths....once it starts going downhill for him, he keeps pitching at the same speed until that happens.
did you not hear the whole commentary in how the shadows were gone and hitting became much easier? not only are their shadows there is a glare off the wall in the back. basically price would have been rocked in a night game. stop making excuses from a hockey guy no less. they just arent good enough all around. period

of course you could have taken him out but look at what the bullpen did when it came in. it didnt hold anything. it gave up more runs. im not surprised at what happened. people dont take into account bullpens this time of the year and its everything. now you say baseball is different. do you think if kansas city had a 3-0 lead and the leadoff guy got on because of an error they would blow it? of course not because they have a good pen. the error didnt blow it. the lack of a bullpen when your ballz are on the line did. which at this time of the year is everything.
Sanchez is decent, Cecil is injured, and I dont agree with the decision of going with loup. They should have gone with Osuna, esp knowing that you have a day off tomorrow.
Anyways KC has just defend their home court here, this series is far from over, Jays are better hitters than they have show in these 2 games.

Huh? Where is the excuse?
Picking off signs is done by all teams, the onus is on the Jays to change them when you see a pattern like that by the KC batters.

oops my bad they do have a lefty. i was thinking they didnt. he must be the only one. not very good as we can see
Yea Loup is the only lefty option after Cecil got hurt in that stupid rundown. Cecil had been lights out for two months prior to the injury. Huge bullpen advantage for KC.
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

Baseball is a different game, its all about individual matchups and momentum. Royals looked like a hopeless team until Goins dropped that ball, it made them believe and theirs ABs changed. It also caused Price to lose his composure and he didnt execute his pitches anymore.
No freaking way KC was hopeless, have you not watched them the last 2 years??? LIke this week in Texas? Huge heart on that team...never out of it...bonehead managing, basket case pitcher...sorry

and you can take KC if you believe that on the road, I m confident they lose both games in Toronto.
you re confident in a team you just described as being mental midgets? this aint texas where the jays could go play in 80 degree weather against beer league pitchers. the only thing they got going for them is they hit bombs and this time of the year this is where those teams go to die. you ll see.

KC hadnt reached based since the first batter till Goins dropped that ball. Stick to facts in the future if you want to make a credible argument.

Jays arent built to hit in Kaufman stadium and vice versa for KC, they ll be out of their comfort zone in Rogers centre. Jays arent a one dimensional home run team either, they can beat you in many ways. Guys like Donaldson and Revere arent going to stay this quiet...

Ok, here's some facts bro:KC is down 6-2 in the 8th on Wednesday at Houston-is that less hopeless?KC is down 4 at home late vs, the A's last year in the Wild Card game and wins..Need more? You should know watching Toews against the Ducks in Game 5 this Spring...
and what happen in the world series against a team that can pitch like the Giants? Thats where it matters most, against a good team, not against the overachiever astros & the As who had the worst record in all of baseball in the 2nd half.
Stroman is gonna carve the Royals up and I think Dickeys experience will be enough with the run support he gets.

You better hope so because your bullpen(by the way why aren't you a Cubs fan?) isn't trusted and the Royals won't make 3 errors in the 7th...surprised you don't see the grit they show...

I live in Toronto (17 years now) so I want to see the Jays win, I wouldnt call myself a "fan" though, I ve been betting baseball for a long time now and thats the main reason I got into the sport.
My dad was a Hawks/Celtics fan, grew up with those teams and follow those 2 seriously.
I dont question whether Kansas has grit, I just think we shouldnt overreact to these 2 losses, Jays are a good team and will make this a series.

My question is, why is a buttcrack like goins even in the lineup? And worse why is an automatic out batting lead off? WOuldn't it make more sense to put in a slower but way better hitter to bat lead off than a speedy guy who can't hit? I'd rather have Martin leading off rather than revere
