maybe my memory sucks but wasn't hammels the MVP last year???
PHI has a lot of options, as far as pitching. They are going to play match ups. But you know what NY is going to do...they have 3 starters, and a closer
And wasn't Richie Sexson good once too? What does last season have to do with Hamels now? All I've heard was Hamels was great last season. He had a great postseason. Well he hasn't had a quality start in 6 starts and has gone more than 5 just 1 time in his last 4 starts and that was 1 out into the 6th.

No Shit ! Really..... never thought the away team looked for the split on the road. I always thought they wanted to go down 0-2 out of the gate. That way they're really are hungry when they get home. Good incite bro ! Thanks .......

The yanks are a team that everyone lovesss to go against....Wether in the mlb world or the betting world...The yanks spend alot of money everyone knows it but they are not breaking the rules....and in the betting aspect of things when you bet against the yankees mostly all the time you are getting + money...Dont fade the yanks in the betting world take the yanks series with juice...

And thats the thing. Everyone LOVES fading the Yanks. Last season...it worked. In past playoffs....it worked. But now people are abusing that and think it will work every time. I'm sure a LARGE amount on here lost a whole lot more money betting against the Yanks then on them. They took the Twins because there was "value" which I thought was really stupid. They took the Angels because there was "value" which is more understanding because of the Yankees' struggles against the Angels but that didn't work either. And now people will be all over the Phillies because of the "value" and they'll be blowing their money away...again.

This is the worst read ever...Yankees fans are explaining why they are great??? What a joke....and these comparisons to last year do mean something in my opinion, but if they don't mean anything like Spark says then why would remember Fat Boy getting SHELLED by the Phills last year!!!!
Burnett is a joke...no control at all when curve ball can't find the strike zone....I think the Yankees fans should look at the Phils line up and stop drooling over their own.....not sure but back-to-back World eries trips and you are getting 190 back for the series...that is the joke of it all

People need to forget about last season's tee ball game against Sabathia. It's an entirely different scenario.
In the 2009 season, Sabathia will have 26 days from his final start of the regular season to the final start before his matchup against the Phillies. In those 25.1 innings he threw 409 pitches.
In the 2008 season, in Sabathia's 26 days leading up to the matchup against the Phillies, he had thrown 35.2 innings and 547 pitches. And if you want to add 1 more day add 7 more innings and 106 more pitches.
Sabathia pitched in 253 innings in 2008's regular season. He only pitched in 230 in the 2009 regular season. He was not overused down the stretch in New York where he was in Milwaukee leading up to that game. The thing is...CC threw so many more pitches/innings without a break leading up to the playoffs on 2008. In 2009 he had less innings/pitches thrown and had breaks in between. ALSO...he will have 7 days rest between his starts leading up to the World Series.

Mauer, Kubel, Cuddyer and Young were hitting really well going into the series.

Well it's not like we can do anything other than talking until 7:57 tonight.
And yes...Yankees will win #27

as much as the yanks are a feared bunch, i honestly think the phillies have a shot at going back to philly up 2-0.
game 1 is pretty much a tossup w/ the 2 best pitchers in the postseason going at it so the value lays in betting philly. game 2 i really see the advantage going to the phillies. burnett is an overpaid piece of shit and he has shown as much this postseason. the phills bats are going to rock him. pedro is a big ??? but i'll take him over burnett anyday.
and please stfu steve. your opinion is utterly worthless
