Philly is kind of a big market. And it's not like he's failed under the big lights. And the Yankees want him so...........

Sparky he was only in PHI for a short while as you know. There are just some guys that don't like all the attention. He just always seemed like that guy. Sure he can do the job, just don't know if a couple mill at the end of the day is going to make that much of a different. But we will see if my read is correct.

I follow TX on a daily bases. Lee and Kinsler have struck-up a great friendship, and don't be surprised if Lee stays in TX. I'm telling you, they have become tight, not Clemens and Pettitte tight, not that way, that was wrong to say. But they have become friends, and good ones at that. Lee just might stay in TX.

The Yankees make people forget about the saying "money can't buy happiness". I mean, look at CC's contract. They gave him the extra that they did so he could afford the taxes for living in New York. I'm sure they'll make Mr. Lee feel right at home.
The thing is...with every dominating performance by Lee, his asking price will go up more and more. Just imagine if he pitches 2 complete game shutouts against the Yankees.
Cliff Lee will want, and will get, a contract in the $120 million range. And I think the only team that is willing to take on that type of contract is the Yankees.
But, just like you, that's just my read. But knowing the Yankees...they usually get what they want.

I agree with this point. Cliff Lee and Nolan Ryan have a lot of similarities so I could see why they would make Lee the franchise.
