What up all!? I noticed this morning that some people were looking for my play yesterday. Apologies, I was off that game. I stopped by the forum earlier in the day and it was like a ghost town. I guess that's expected on NFL Sunday. Anyway, I'll post all games I play. If you don't see me, it means I'm not on that game.
On to today. The last time the Dodgers threw a bullpen game, 7 relievers combined for a shutout. Sure, they can do it again. However, the law of averages say they won't and personally, I don't think it's likely. When you bring that many arms into a game, chances are someone won't have his best stuff. In fact, chances are more than one guy won't have it. There's a reason teams do this as a last resort and I have it catching up with LA today.
Of course, the Mets chances to get a W are only as good as Sean Manaea. Manaea used to be a guy I couldn't trust. However, he's been a different pitcher ever since his velocity saw an uptick and he added the sweeper to his repertoire. I like him to even the series and here's why: His splits line up well. He's 6-3 in away games with a 3.17 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and opponents are hitting 210 against. He's also 5-2 in day games, with a 2.97 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and opponents are hitting 199 against. He'll need to be careful with Mookie Betts and Will Smith as both have good career numbers against. Otherwise, if he has his command, he should be able to navigate through the rest of the lineup. Keep in mind that Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy all bat left handed. While they're always a threat, facing a southpaw is a disadvantage.
The Mets are not as bad as they looked yesterday and the Dodgers aren't as dominant. However, recency bias is a real thing and I believe we're getting a favorable line because of it.
I'm on the Mets at +126.
Enjoy the game and BOL

Dodgers led the leauge in ops vs lefties though. . I know it’s playoffs and doesn’t mean shit but just saying. Plus Mets bats are struggling and dodgers pen on a roll. BOL

@Cashin and @Keymaster - I see you mentioned first 5 because you're concerned about the Dodgers pen. This is a bullpen game. Last time the Dodgers did this, they threw 7 different arms. I suppose it's possible that someone like Landon Knack goes multiple innings. But, if that's the case - I'll happily take my chances.
@RiggedNation - Yeah, I'm aware of the Dodgers OPS vs lefties. And honestly, in the playoffs you can make a good argument for either side on any game. Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy can def hit anyone. However, all 3 do hit righties better and none have a lot of familiarity with Maneae.
@Lik -NFL is not one my best sports. I really only bet it for fun and I keep wagers small
