Hey GH I see you like Minnesota, they are +180 to win the series. Do yo see any value on this bet? I like the series bet specially when I am going out of town with the family, it allows meto place a bet that lasts 3 days, LOL
I don't like Swarzak tomorrow and I like Lilly against Baker as the Twins aren't hitting lefties...at +180, I see the edge, but if you lose today, it's big trouble..if u bet $100 on the Twins today and win, you are up +130. You could take $100 of the profit and bet the Twins tomorrow...if they win, they will be around +160 tomorrow, so you'd be up $290...that's +290. If they lose Game 2, you're still up $70 and then you could bet $100 on Game 3 where the Twins will probably be +130. If they win, you will end up with a profit of +160. If they lose, you will end up losing $70 instead of $100....under this scenario, if they lose Game 1, you drop your $100 anyway and the only way you get burned is if they Lose Game 1 but win Games 2 and 3.

Halladay at home ... I think you'll be happy you didn't make that play (2-1 or not)
...its funny, he gets a fair amount of credit for his greatness, but I still think if he was more of an egotist, or more controvrsial, or dating Paris Hilton (you see where I'm going with this!) ...he would receive more credit and perhaps the amount he truly deserves...
300 wins is still a possibility for that man but he'll need to stay healthy (a la Glavine) and win 15+ per season on average through age 42 or so. Hope he makes it for all he's done for Toronto baseball fans

I know what my bankroll for the entire season is before I start the season. It's not necessarily what I have on deposit at my book, but the amount I am willing to lose that won't affect my life in any significant way and that I can afford to lose. That point alone, is something 90% of gamblers cannot do. 1 unit to me is equal to 1% of my bankroll. If the amount you are willing to risk for the whole season is say $1000, then I recommend 1-2% per unit which is $10-20 a unit.
Excellent advice, GH .
My strategy almost exactly.
Great call on Minny - thanks

GH MAN YOU ARE ONN FIRE!!!!! I LISTENED TO YOUR GIG ON THE RADIO AND IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SHOW. YOUR INSIGHT AND GRASP OF THE GAME IS ALWAYS REFRESHING TO READ OR LISTEN TO.
I LIKE YOUR TITLE OF EACH DAY IS A BALL PLAYER BUT I (FORGIVE IF YOU HAVE) HAVEN'T SEEN ANY REDS PLAYERS. CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON HOW YOU PICK THE PLAYER. I LIKE TO SEE SOME OLD SCHOOL REDS LIKE ERIC DAVIS OR CHRIS SABO. THE PETE ROSE CLAN.
ANYWAY KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND KEEP MAKING MONEY AND NOT JUST A WINNING RECORD.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THE REDS KC GAME. THE REDS ARE PITCHING THE ROOKIE LEFTY FOR HIS SECOND GAME THIS YEAR AND HE WILL BE PITCHING AT HOME. KC DOESN'T LEFTY TO WELL AND THE HOME TEAM SHOULD GIVE HIM SOME LOVE.
THANKS. I BET 2 UNITS.
GATORPHIL
ALSO I HATE WHEN I GET MOOSED ON AND OVER IN OVERTIME; IM JUST SAYING MANNNNNNN
