thanks for the info. i will wait on to see how hughes does first.  he should be solid but that detroit lineup is a lot different than what he faced in the minors.  good luck game.

yea GH, as lakers fan asked above ... i think many of us are going to be getting that 1st 5 inning line for the yanks at 5 ... i am assuming this would still be a decent play since we cant LOSE in a case where you win. at worst we would get a push, but hopefully we also get the win. again, i understand you got the bette line very early, but for the others would u recomend still playing at 5?

Popular question...Pinny was 5 -105 (and I took it), as voodootime mentioned it just changes the 5 from a winner to a push so it can't hurt you, and you pay WAY less juice in the event of any early fireworks ...

GH - Certainly not questioning the play, but, I'm actually very curious to hear your thoughts on the A's play over Millwood and the Rangers...

Yeah, I just played it a little while ago at bookmaker...got the same thing, 5 at -105.

Agreed..u only push on a 5 so it's not the end of the world and it is costing u less juice...I'd still do it

Millwood 4 straight games of over 100+ pitches...hasn't done that in any of the last few seasons...Texas' pen was overused at Baltimore...Texas played on the east coast last night after a week on the road while Oakland rested....I like this kid Anderson a lot. Oakland bats beginning to heat up...several A's regulars with solid numners against Millwood.

I just can't pull the trigger on Clev against the Redsox and their 11 wins in a row. Why should they stop winning now?

Gambling 101 gamblers lose more money chaseing streaks to end then they win when the streak does end .  ex. if i rode the sox and there 11 game streak and it ends tonight i would still be up 10 units but say i started to chase the streak to end at 8 and the go on to win 14 in a row i would be down 6 units same example in roullett just  beause the 12 previous rolls were red dont mean the 13th roll will be black. the trick to streak betting is to jump on one (winning or loseing if u fade)and ride it till it ends

That is a totally solid analysis of the textbook approach if you bet streaks.  I'm pretty sure that's not GH's m.o. and he has a solid situational cap of this game notwithstanding the Bosox streak  ... if we bug him enough I'm sure he will capitulate and give his write-up eventually
