What's your take on the Giants? As bad as Garland looked in his 5 inning 3 run (0 earned) performance to the Dbacks where he struck out none while walking 5, Wellemeyer hasn't looked much better. Padres are riding a 5 game winning streak while San Francisco can't bring runners home in normally routine scenarios.

I think Cleveland is worth a shot today at that price.  Good luck with your plays.

Just see Garland as struggling with command and high pitch counts. Big Panda has smacked him around and feel the Giants are the better team. It's not like the Pods are smacking the ball. They had 1 hit and 4 base runners last night and have scored 23 runs in their L7 games. In addition, Heath Bell has thrown 4 out of the last 5 days which could be a problem for the Pods. Petco is a place where I expect Wellemeyer to pitch well. he pitched well there last season and he faces a much weaker offensive team than he did in his first two starts. He had an outstanding spring and this is a start where he must "put up ot shut up" if he wants to stay in the rotation.

gl...lets get this ship turned in the right direction today.  Lost 3 games last night by a single run each so could have easily only had 1 loss last night casue the pirates got smashed

hate to see you on TOR .... and i have cubs/mets as a no play because Silva is damb good and Oli is still trash, regardless of his last start against the Cards, just cant bet against the Mets though.  GL with the rest of your card

Marcum has been great against the Royals and you have the single most home biased umpire in the majors behind the plate today. Bell is 119-52 for the home team the L3+ years and 14-3 his L17.

The same thing about pitch counts can be said for Wellemeyer, and it is a continuation from the 2nd half of last season. San Francisco is an ideal matchup for Garland. They're not very patient (bottom 10 in walks) with a lot of free swingers. They really miss Rowand at the top because that leaves guys like Velez and Torres, two of the least patient hitters on that team, in the lineup. The Padres never smack the ball, but they find ways to win because of their deep bullpen. If things go bad for Garland, they have reliable arms to minimize the damage and stretch a game. Stauffer has been outstanding for Bud Black. The Padres only had 1 hit yesterday but it still was enough to get past Sanchez and the Giants. Says a lot. I'll take the home team at the small price. I'll probably lose this bet but not sure you can justify Silva on the road only returning even money. Perez looked good in his last start and the Mets are playing better baseball. Thoughts?

Understand your thoughts...I think SIlva looks like he did in 2005 when he set the record for fewest walks in a season with over 100 innings pitched when he walked 90 all season...he had an excellent spring, has looked terrific his first two starts and hasn't walked a batter, looks to be in good shape and is over his injury woes....the Cubs may not be hitting but have a lineup that is stacked to hit lefties: Bird, Lee, Nady, Soriano, Ramirez, Baker, Soto.....Perez is typically better on the road than at home.

   Its just unfortunate that all of covers seem to be on Tor. I will take my chances with the AL CY Young winner at plus money .... Not to mention the old overated notion of "betting against the sweep" LOL.  But your input and resposes are always appreciated.
