Its funny, like Neil Young and Gordon Lightfoot, Lee and other Canadian rock royalty are given a ton of space here, and they reciprocate by being extremely modest and living amongst us mere mortals to a very high degree.... I can honestly say there is something about that that Canadians are very proud of ... American celebs and athletes are accorded the same respect in public and many feel that is why they spend so much time in T.O.

Funny Rush story: My friend's dad beat up Geddy Lee in high school for being a jack-ass. An unrelated friend (who's the nicest guy in the world) beat up Geddy Lee's son, also for being a jack-ass.
I don't surround myself with violent people. Apparently they just deserve a world of hurt.

I want to kick your friend's dad's ass and also your unrelated friend's ass and I'm bigger than Geddy. Bring 'em on!

The Rush CD Roll the Bones is all about gambling and uses gambling metaphors throughout most of the songs....Rush must have been going through a gambling phase in the early 90's

I'll be around for the full baseball season in this thread, as I don't have much time to hang around in too many places.
But eventually, PM me or send me a secondary email address in some thread of yours down the line, and I'll give you a good idea of the boots I have and I'll send em you r way. I got them for free, and it's all in the name of sharing, and what not.
Hell, I even have a DVD with Rush at The Palace in Detroit from their Counterparts tour. It is that good!

Weird, as I was turned on to Rush in about '82, and for the longest time, I didn't like Signals that much; the synth sound, that is. But I dug the HELL out of the Analog Kid, along with 4-5 other tracks, out of 8, eventually! LOL
