Rough start for Fernandez? Well yes, but I can forgive that when the guy
posts 13 K’s and only 1 walk. Thor is a worthy opponent but he doesn’t have an
offense behind him and Jose definitely does.
Rockies +118, Samardzija/Chatwood
I felt the Giants made a mistake with Samardzija and his first outing
did nothing to change my opinion. Being on the road is no excuse when the
opponent is the Brewers. Another problem for the Giants is that they have
posted only one quality start versus a righty and in four games to date have
established a 3.04 oera. Trevor Story is not the only story for the Rockies on
offense. They have given a quality effort in all four of their games versus
righty and have established a 9.74 oera. The team effort is a bigger story than
Story.
