Phillies, First 5 Innings, Money Line, +165,Eickhoff
/ Maeda
I
don’t know if you are aware of what the Cubs are doing to lefty starters, but
it ain’t pretty. A 4-1 (5-0 game) record for first 5 innings and an offensive
rating of 48.6, second only to the Brewers and a full 11 points higher than the
MLB average of 37.6.
If
you agree with me that the Phillies line is way too high, don’t go criticizing
the books for stupid or ignorant lines. They know their customers and their
customers not only took a bite of the high opening line, they pushed it up even
higher. As I type this the game line on the Dodgers is as high as -188 and I
don’t see how anyone can figure the Dodgers have a better than 63.3% chance of
winning. That is insane. The offenses
are comparable, no great shakes either way, but Eickhoff with a quality start
record of 3-1, is quite clearly superior to Maeda at 0-4. The Phillies are
10-4-2 versus right handed starters in the 5 inning game so far and the Dodgers
are 6-3-2, but who faces the superior starter today?

That dodgers line makes no sense to me. Neither does KC being a favorite
BOL
I think KC as a favorite does make sense. There is a world of difference between Gibson and Kennedy, not to mention the Royals "owe" one to the Twins after that 3 game sweep in Minny to open the season.

Your money, your choice. I am not much of a parlay player myself, might have one or two or three all season.
I usually think Parlay is for suckers but this is too sweet of a parlay. I probably will do phillies +.5 just to be on the safe side. Just a quick question, i really respect your write ups but i was wondering if you really knows every teams, every players and if you do watch, listen to the games you pick. Thanks

Literally, noone knows everything about everything, baseball or otherwise, and there are many things it is not necessary to know, or almost unnecessary because they will make very little difference in the long run. I know THE GAME; inside and out, backwards and forwards, up and down. I also know odds and probability, risk and reward, and investing versus gambling.

you have proven that over the years. Investing is when you are consistently positive at the end of the seasons vs gambling is when you have to re-up your account every two weeks. hhaha boy don't i know that.

Mr. keys, this is it , what do you think of this parlay.
It sucks, so it will probably win
Really, I never play +.5 or +1.5 run lines. The "safety factor" is more of an illusion that you pay a huge price for. If you don't think the dog should win outright, don't play the game at all.
I won't even lay juice with Toronto right now, much less the spread.
Those are just my opinions, BOL
