Key, I've been following you for a few weeks now, and I must say that your abilities are quite impressive. I'd love to learn how to cap. Obviously you can't teach me, but if you could point me in a direction to a website or something that could get me started I'd greatly appreciate it. If not, no worries. Keep on, keepin' on bud

First of all if you believe successful sports gambling is as hard as earning a master's degree at a major university, and DO NOT believe it is a "get rich quick scheme" there may be hope for you. If so you need to go to professionalgambler....com and read what is offered by the Millers. Do not follow the picks, just read everything else. Second, get online and get a catalog from Gamblers Book Club, Las Vegas. Buy and read much of what was noted by the Millers, especially Bob McCune. Do not purchase anything under $10.00 as most of that is pretty superficial and not really educational. When you get your catalog I will answer specific questions about the value of material you are interested in. Do all of that, then establish a bankroll, even if just on paper, and track your ROI, nothing is more important. When you have broken even for an entire season in any sport you are ready to proceed, cautiously, with real money. Until you have done all of that find the handful of Covers handicappers that A) track their record with total honesty every day, all season, and B) are not flagrant blowhards with locks, angles, and "I got a feeling" types of posts. That will save you a lot of time right there. Stick with honestly, responsible records and handicappers with a long term history of success. The blowhards come and go, and many are here under their third, fourth or fifth username, because they were discredited under the prior ones. BOL

Key, any lean or thoughts on Washington RL -1.5 -130? Like Washington in this spot, -1.5 lowers the juice by alot. Thanks.
It lowers the juice because it increases the risk. There is no such thing as a free lunch. That being said, I don't so much disagree with the play as I disagree with lay both runs and odds in a baseball game. That kind of double negative can spell trouble. My handicap agrees with you, but my experience does not. BOL if you play it.

what do you think about the cubs game today? I'm leaning towards miami +1.5 but cubs play so well at home during the day...thoughts?
I literally NEVER play + runs. First of all if you do not believe the team will win outright you have business betting them. Secondly, a +1.5 bet is literally betting that the team will lose by exactly 1 run. If they win outright the odds are much worse and if they lose by more than 1 it is a loss anyway. I liken it to "insurance" in Blackjack, which is not insuring anything, it is a side bet with the dealer that they do, in fact, have a Blackjack, and the true odds are they don't.

Only time I ever bet + runs is as a hedge when I have previous parts of a parlay already completed.

You will probably never grow up, but your strategy for betting baseball will work until the day I croak.
