Dan Straily is
probably one of MLB’s best kept secrets at this time. Davies is no slouch
himself but is slipping now just as Nelson did a while back. Based on their
last six outings I see Straily at 67.2 and Davies at 65.4, but the real key is
the offenses. The Reds are killing right handed pitching with 11 quality
performances in their last 15 and an oera of 5.99, while the Brewers step in
with 6 quality performances and an oera of 4.1. Given edges in pitching,
offense, and run production at a +$ price we have a playable game.

Great pick. I'm surprised that none of the contenders haven't tried to get Straily.

Maybe they did and the market price was just too high. He is
not a household name but GM’s are not fooled by the same crap the Covers
Brothers are. He may also have been unattractive by being a free agent at the
end of this year. We will see what happens in the hot stove league, but don’t
expect him to go easy or cheap, and don’t be surprised when some idiot posts “They
gave Straily how much?”
