Thursday 3-0 (+ 3 Units): I spent a ton of time digging into Thursday's card so it felt great to get the 3-0 sweep. I plan on continuing to put a ton of effort into my card, because I know that is the only way ill have a successful year like last season.
So let me start off by saying I can't remember the last time I have been so effing mad. I spent 3hrs researching/typing up my write ups only to somehow hit the wrong button and wipe the entire page. I literally stared at my blank screen for 5 minutes in disarray. I enjoy doing the long write ups but I definitely don't have the time to write them twice. So I apologize, I think what pisses me off the most is I felt like they were gonna be some of my best ever write ups. If anyone knows me from last season, that's saying a lot haha. Anyways, I am sorry and ill do better next time
Friday Plays
Nationals/Reds O 8.5 (+105) 1 Unit - Both Haren and Bailey struggle against the long ball. Haren surrendered homers in 22 of his 30 outings last season and he will get a taste of a true hitters park on Friday. Meanwhile Bailey was awful at home last season and was the NL Leader allowing 21 home runs at home.
Braves RL (+125) 1 Unit: The Braves will take advantage of a terrible Scott Feldman who got relegated to bullpen duties with the Rangers before getting shipped off to the Cubs. Braves starter Minor was good at home last year, and his pre/post all star #s were a great find, in showing he made major progressions in the second half of the season. Opening at home is just what the doctor ordered for him. I don't put much stock in the Cubs squeaking out 2 out 3 from Pittsburgh, because I believe Pittsburgh is a non factor this season. The Braves will have the advantage in every facet of the matchup and I think cover the RL with relative ease.
Brewers ML (-125) 1 Unit: Lohse will be making his Brewers debut and will face a Arizona team that he dominated last season (like many team). In 2 outings in 2012 Lohse was 1-0 with a 0.77 era against the D'Backs. Miley will be getting the start for the D'Backs and his #s against the Brewers were absolutely atrocious. In 2 outings, he lasted just 9 innings, allowing 11 runs on 13 hits, and 3 home runs.
Those are the short versions of what my write ups were gonna be, so you can only imagine haha. But anyways I feel pretty good about this card. Best of luck to everyone on Friday.
