Kind of surprised no one has taken this one yet...
Toronto Blue Jays +1.5 (-135)
Here's why... 1. Lackey has ONE quality start in his last SEVEN.
2. Toronto roughed up Cliff Lee yesterday, Boston walked by Houston, Literally!
3. Brandon Morrow's last 3 starts....hmmm... 6.2, 0ER; 7, 3ER; 7, 1ER! The guys found his stuff.
4. Back to Morrow...last two starts 9 and 10 punchouts. He will get a few big strikeouts today.
5. How bout some more Morrow...Road Games....(3-0) 2.19 ERA.
6. Behind in the count Morrow throws 79% fastballs, compared to 63% ahead. This is what gets him in trouble. Recently he hasnt been falling behind too often.
7. Career: Rajai Davis (.375), Yunel Escobar (.455), Adam Lind (.571). All over 20 AB. Jose is Primed for a big hit today, if there runners on the base it will break the game open.
Final Note: Lackey is having a horrible year and that is amplified to a near 8.00 ERA at home. Look for Toronto to put guys on base and hopefully Bautista or Lind can come up with a clutch knock. Morrow has been pitching amazing as of late, and I see no reason as to why that would change today.
Toronto - 5 , Boston - 3
Morrow- 7.0 IP, 2 ER Lackey- 6.0 IP, 4 ER
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Happy 4th to you and your family!
