Picking any two games, I bet you don't do better than 1/2 either. Anyone with a win percentage less than 75% would expect to win no more than one out of two.
Correction: a win percentage less than 70.7% (Guesstimated 1/sqrt(2) before.)
MikeyBotz,
Best comment I've heard so far. You have a point about the Cubs but I see the DBacks at a level beyond bad and don't expect a turnaround until Gibson is fired which will happen shortly. Would be a better pick if they weren't playing the Cubs but I still like it and it's a good price for picking against the DBacks.

I agree I'm not providing as much "logic" as you are but that never works in sports gambling anyway. The most important thing I look at is trends and overall talent in teams. Pitching isn't what it used to be in MLB. If a pitcher has a horrible outing one week chances are that he'll bounce back in his next outing or the outing after that. And if a pitcher has been hot, chances are he's due for a bad one. The days of Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens etc. are gone. There is no consistent dominance anymore. So what do we do? We identify really bad teams (Diamondbacks) that are on a bad streak or really good teams (maybe Dodgers or Cardinals) that are on a brief losing streak and pick your opportunities to take them. Throw out the pitching matchups unless Phil Coke is the starting pitcher. DBacks won a game today but they are horrendous. And they're on the road. Tomorrow is a golden opportunity to take them especially when they're starting a guy that couldn't get through 4 innings last time out before the hitters figured him out. It's that simple. Don't try to dig into more detail than that.

Anybody can just ride the dodgers, but who wants to lay that juice on a consistent basis, you'll have so low juice here and there, when you have a good opposing pitcher. The point is to look for advantages, I took the cubs yesterday bc samard has been pitching well this year, and the cubs have hit lefties pretty decent to start the season. i rode the mets every game of their series against the D-backs, and i still have no clue how they were dogs every game.
Baseball is a game of streaks, whether they be good streaks or bad streaks, and when a team is hot or cold i tend to ride them as long as i can. But saying the dbacks suck but the cubs suck less, is just a moronic statement.
I previously stated about managers changing pitchers, bc they are playing the percentages, they're never going to be right 100%, and they're never going to be wrong 100%, you just go with what the numbers tell you to. this guy takes strop out, brings in russell for lefty on lefty, the right fielder misplays a ball, and now everyone who takes the cubs is a moron, bc of some terrible rightfielder, who misplays a ball on the next batter as well and breaks his behind on the bullpen mound

I haven't been tailing him lately, in fact, I have even gone against him a few times, that doesn't mean he sucks, it just means I have a mind of my own. His ML picks have been pretty bad, but is totals are usually spot on, with the information he gathers. I would love to see your picks daily, and see what kind of juice you lay each day, then we'll see who is ThePicker
