Thanks for the post. I disagree that Gray is undervalued, hes the opening day starter for a reason, the kid is a stud. I didnt put as much emphasis on the starting pitching as I normally would because many of the starters will be followed on pitch counts much more closely than at any other time of they year. The weather shouldnt allow Gray to go deep into the game as its suppose to be 52 degrees and rain at first pitch dipping down to a low in the mid 40's. I like the fact that Cleveland has 4 switch hitters at the plate and theyve incorporated a little speed and power through their lineup. Clevelands middle relief is upgraded as well as their closer so after looking at them as a relatively complete team, I saw no reason to back down from taking them at plus money when I know Masterson will provide at least 5 innings of solid work as hes a sinkerballer who should keep Oaklands power in check.
informative write up; have a fun season of profit

hi amd, Why do u like Royals over Detroit? Detroit seems to be the safe bet here being the home opener and Verlandet pitching. Am I missing something?
Like my post regarding Sonny Gray and the A's, I feel that too much emphasis is being put into todays starting pitching. Verlander was throwing in Florida, a climate that is much different than the 48-50 degrees he will be facing today. Coming off injury, rest assured, he wont go deep into this game. The Tigers still have questions in their middle relief as well as the most critical position in the field, ss. Castellano isnt any more of an upgrade than Cabrerra at 3rd and they also have questions in Left field. Tigers hitting lineup looks great 1-5 but Im not sold on the Tigers being very solid, defensively, on the left side of the field to start the 2014 campaign and hitters 6-9 are average. Shields actually had better numbers than Verlander last year and I love him at +140-150. I also like the Royals lineup, solid hitting with a mix of power. The Royals are a sexy pick to contend for the AL Central, however, I feel they are a legitimate ballclub.

Why question his picks...He must be a great capper if so many folks are following him. If you aren't comfortable with it then just go with YOUR OWN GUT.
