And the first "kick to the dick" Sunday has now come and gone. I won't be playing a lot of Sunday baseball from here on out. It just seems too unpredictable for some reason. 0-5 yesterday.
Yankees/Tigers Over 8.5 -110
I can't wait for line ups on this one cause it's already gone up a run since opening at 7.5, and with winds expected to be sustained around 20mph and head straight out to center/left center, I don't want to have to settle for a 9/9.5 come game time.

Smart re: Sunday baseball. Add-in another factor, if Saturday is overall a good day for the betting community, more than likely additional pain will be served on Sunday.
MLB weekend rule..."if" one day giveth, one day will taketh. It's never a double-serving of good.

One caveat here to the NYY/Tigers over. Winds definitely optimal blowing out at 17mph during the game. But, with wind chill it feels like 30 degrees. It can sometimes impact batter performance. Just a variable to keep an eye on. GL with the play!

No doubt about it. And you're right about the weather in Detroit. I think the cold effects pitchers though too when it comes to being able to feel their pitches, so control could be an issue. So far, looks like a shitty bet though.

The over is 7-1 in Cardinals games this year, partly in thanks to an overachieving line up, and partly to a terrible starting pitching staff. An average of 13 runs is scored a game in which the Cardinals play this year. The Pirates average 8.5. Some rain in the area at start time, so may get delayed, but they should play.
Dodgers/Nationals Under 8 -118
Gore has been great so far this year, and seems to be turning into what he was supposed to be, and that's a legit #1. He has a 9:1 K/BB, and while winless, he can thank his bullpen for that. Dodgers aren't hitting lefties yet this year either. May was also great in his first shot at things in almost two years. We could also see the game get delayed/called in the later innings with a big rainstorm that could potentially reach DC. The less the Nats pen gets involved, the better.
San Francisco Giants -1.5 +150
Giants are the hottest team in baseball right now, winners of 8 straight, and the only team to beat them this year, was this very Reds ballclub last week. These two pitchers faced off on opening day and the Giants won 6-4. Back at home in the Bay, I like Webb over Greene who hasn't pitched away from home yet this year. Giants bullpen is much better too, and third in the league in holds.
Padres/A's Over 8.5 -102
This Padre line up in this ballpark should be fun to watch. I have full confidence that SD can get at least 6, and Sacramento (?????) is actually got above average offensive numbers, mostly due to them playing in this ballpark. I'm gonna play overs at this place anytime its under 10, with exceptions along the way.
GL everyone. Get those bats goin Yanks!

Played college ball in New England and still play amateur wood bat league here in Chi-Town. You are correct on both. Cold temps prevents a pitcher from really getting loose to fire away (I'm a pitcher) and the wood bat (well if you hit it any other spot than the sweet spot you sting your hands so much so you don't want to grip the bat). I like to combine your wind angle during summer temps. Add in a team that uses a torpedo bat this year vs. a shitty pitcher = OVER TT. GL on tonight's card!

Congrats! You're going to love it. The next level experience is the MSBL Fall Classic in Florida. Its a week tournament in November. Play on MLB Spring Training Fields with MLB spring training umps. They have a free agent option so anyone can get invited to a team.

Impressed that you two are in wooden bat leagues. The CICL was a collegiate wooden bat league in Illinois and Indiana (the Peoria Pacers were a popular team). The league had alumni such as Kirby Puckett, Mike Schmidt, Bob Brenly, Joe Girardi, Ryan Howard, Dan Quisenberry and Rick Reuschel.
Good luck to both of you!
