Both teams are out to accomplish something; the A’s to win their
third straight division title and the Twins to escape the cellar of one of MLB’s
weakest divisions. One knows what they are doing; the other has not got the horses
to accomplish the task. Sale
and Quintana were on cruise control versus the Twins while Kazmir was shutting down
the Tribe’s offense, which finished last season with a 12-1 record and 5.91 offensive
era versus lefties. Unless Kazmir has bad food for breakfast he should give us 5
shutout today.
As I just mentioned Kazmir shut down the Tribe in their first
outing versus a lefty, but that was on the road and does not put Erlin in Kazmir’s
class. Look for the Tribe to rock the house tonight.
