BOL
Giants: I will pit my 6-0, 71.3 Tim Hudson versus a 3-3, 64.8 Charlie Morton as my only play of the day. The team is 2-4 when Charlie takes the ball and the only opposing pitcher he has topped is Edwin Jackson, twice. If there is to be another slugfest tonight it will likely be one sided.
Comment: The last few days have been brutal, but a good, confident handicapper realizes some of it could not be foreseen, some of it is just bad luck, and it is not likely to continue, but; there is no harm in going conservative until the rescue team gets the train back on the tracks. The “2 percent of bankroll” formula is now firmly in place on a daily basis to help snowball wins and/or losses. If this cloud has a silver lining it has to be that some of the less faithful, who expected to win every day all season, will now run off elsewhere chasing the latest hot handicapper or system. I honestly try to be patient with some of the goofier things that are posted but it ain’t easy brothers, and good old JEG53 can tell you how much of it there has been in seven years.
Speaking of good old JEG53, if you are looking, did you notice that our brother backdoor_cover has been M.I.A. for two consecutive Cinco de Mayos? I am afraid we have to consider him K.I.A. or permanently incapacitated. Here’s to a fond memory……….
