Cubs: A couple years ago Jeff Locke got off to a terrific first half start and actually made the N.L. All Star roster. He headed downhill the second half of that season and the side continues. Today he faces one of the best lefty hitting clubs in MLB right now as the Cubs are knocking lefties of the hill in 4.2 innings and have a 6.4 oera versus them. Hendricks may not trip your trigger but the Pirates offense has been allowing righties to go 6 innings per start and are producing only 2.7 earned runs per 9 innings.
More later.

Rays: I don’t know how much longer Jake Odorizzi will be one of the best kept secrets in MLB but let’s get it while the getting is good. Per my rankings he is 6-1 for quality starts this year and 20-11 last year so the probability he can give you a quality start is around 68%. Phil Hughes is just 1-6 so far this year and only 2-5 h2h2 with his opposite number. Couple that with the fact the Twins are only 8-11 versus righty starters this year while the Rays are 16-10 and I think the Rays have a far better than 50.7% chance of winning this game.
White Sox: I am not jumping on any kind of Rodon bandwagon here but think he stands a pretty darn good chance at plus money versus a team struggling with lefties. The A’s are now 1-6 versus lefty starters and have not beaten one since opening week (4-8). To add insult to injury that was Ross Detwiler, who does not make anyone exactly want to take the day off out of fear of him.
