Stats can be read as chosen, we all know that. In their last 10 versus lefty the Mariners are 5-5 with two of the wins tossed by Hernandez with the opponent scoring 0 and 2 runs and another over Stults, whom everyone beats. Including the 2 Hernandez wins and the 1 over Stults the Mariners are still 5-5 for quality offensive performances and are averaging just 2.74 earned runs per 9 innings versus the lefty starters they faced. The Mets are also 5-5 last 10 versus lefty but are averaging 4.61 earned runs per 9 and Kazmir and Hamels were included in the mix.

Just for the heck of it I looked up what the Mariners have done versus lefty with Elias on the bump. 1-1 with a loss to Sale and the win over Stults, which makes sense. In the balance of his starts they are 8-9. NBFD.
