Indians: Play to -140. When you are asked to lay juice on the road versus a team that just swept the Pirates at home and averaged 6 runs per game in the process there should be a good reason, and there is. Salazar alone is worth 85 cents on the line over Garza, who is having a disastrous season and has turned in only one quality pitching performance in his last nine efforts and is 4-12 on the season. Salazar counter with the exact opposite, 12-4. Of course the Brewers are the slightly better offensive team (20 cents) but nothing to compare with the advantage of Salazar over Garza. The first thing Salazar’s superiority destroys are home field advantage and momentum, highly questionable advantages in the first place. HFA is not worth nearly what you are charged for it and momentum is highly elusive. Earl Weaver said it best and it certainly applies today, “momentum in baseball is only as good as the guy you have taking the ball tomorrow.”
Leans (2-0 yesterday): Cubs, Dodgers, Astros, and Giants. May or may not add a play.
The article I promised on my program will follow later today in a separate thread I can archive for future inquiries and be titled Baseball Analytics.

Weaver also said "The key to winning baseball games is pitching, fundamentals, and three run homers." Hope the Tribe knock a couple out for you. Good luck Key.
