$429 White Sox, -1.5, +162, Sale (14-4) / Carrasco (12-7) W
$429 Brewers +108, Jungmann (7-1) / De La Rosa (10-9) L
YTD 106-77 (57.9%), +$9,891.19 (+18.53% RoR)
(11-10 = 63.1%) à for the football-basketball mentality
7-25
$435 White Sox +143, Rodon (6-6) / Salazar (13-4)
White Sox: Play to +125: I am doing several things today I normally don’t do, but the ChiSox and Indians are playing so true to form I just have to feel the way I do and agree with my computer that we have a false favorite in this game. Their respective quality start records plus the computers opinion of skill level say that Salazar is the better chucker here, and I hate to go against the guy on the hill holding the ball, but Rodon is not incompetent or untalented and should be in bounce back mode today. With the blasting of Carrasco yesterday the WS only increased their very good probability versus right handed pitching, now 7 of 8 quality performances and a 6.5 earned runs per 9 innings since the ASB. It seldom gets any better than that for any team, and the Indians futility versus lefties just continues, 1.125 runs per 9 since the break with the shutout by Quintana and only 2 earned runs in 7 innings versus Sale, who was on cruise control with a 6 run lead before surrendering even 1. With the WS enjoying so much success out of the break I think you can forget the “won’t get swept at home” theory as the WS keep the pedal to the metal and keep right on truckin’.
May have one more soon and if so will get it up asap.

Reds: Play to +100: How in the world can anyone of even average competency be a dog to Kyle Kendrick? He is probably the greatest $5.5 million dollar mistake in the history baseball, and I said so when the Rockies signed him. All they did with that signing was secure 5th place in the division for themselves. Lorenzen does not look like a Cy Young candidate but is still worth 57 cents of line value over Kendrick, and the Reds are hitting the ball better than the Rockies. Heaven love the folks that put HFA ahead of everything else, they donate the money the books pay us with.
