Athletics: Play to -120: It should be obvious from my quality start records that Sonny Gray is far more likely to give you a quality start than Brett Anderson. So much so he even neutralizes the supposed home field advantage so many bettors are in love with. The A’s are 8-3 on the road with Sonny chucking the ball and producing a 1.84 era. The Dodgers are 7-3 at home with Anderson offering up a 3.38 era. When we look at the offenses I have the A’s with a 32.7 rating and producing 3.7 offensive earned runs per 9 over their last 15 versus lefty. The Dodgers counter with a rating of 28 and 2.7 earned runs per 9 over their last 15 versus righty. I have a momentum factor for offensive run production that favors the A’s 46/38 so I feel I can safely recommend the anti-public underdog in this spot.
