The D-Backs barely overcame Lovullo’s knuckleheaded removal yesterday of Brandon Pfaadt. Sadly, his not-so-clever pitching changes continued today.

UPDATE:

 

It’s over. It was over when a clearly petrified Andrew Saalfrank was allowed to pitch to Bryce Harper after walking the previous two batters and then walked Harper, too. The game (and series) was over right there (in my opinion).

By the way I will hate Ryan Thompson forever for that fear-filled wild pitch he threw to the backstop yesterday that allowed Bryce Harper to score the game’s first run with two outs.

Dbacks just can’t come up with a clutch hit when the pressure is on. Bases loaded with rookie pitchers on the mound for Phils was a golden opportunity wasted
