Remember...pigs get fat...but hogs get slaughtered...very good old saying to keep in mind as it does apply to sports wagering...That being said...Cubs are a strong ML contender today imo...The Angels without Trout are looking pretty weak...In a reference to Wall Street (a different type of gambling) I always heard, "The bulls and the bears make money, the pigs get slaughtered".
Nice run bro.
Thanks brutha...
Amazing...this is the day Chris Davis breaks out....

You go 1-11 yesterday and come back with a runline game with no value -140 moneyline to even money runline doesn’t equate to any value whatsoever.. goodluck .. watch every a’s game.. wouldn’t dare back Anderson on the road with his 6.12 era last year.. Oakland’s pitchers can’t pitch on the road

My brutha, I greatly appreciate your feedback...which I am absolutely certain is given in the spirit of constructive criticism...
I want you to know I greatly appreciate your input and baseball knowledge...I have noted your comments...you know your stuff...
This play is more of a play against Texas, in my mind...however, your point is taken...I was leaning heavily on the OVER as well...sad I didn't play it now..
But keep your comments coming...I like it...and ...feel free to start your own selection thread as I would really like to see who you like every day...
I feel it would benefit the entire Covers board...

Absolutely the goal is to make money...I take no legitimate criticism negatively...Hope you post your games more often, my brutha...

One or two plays today...for sure I am locking in ...
Miami Marlins +125...for 5 units...
Yu is terrible...auto fade for me...also like the way Trevor Richards is pitching this year so far...overall, these teams are comparable in a lot of stats...I'll take my shot at fading Yu with plus money every time...

I replied in the other yu darvish thread.. Miami is off a 14 inning game .. a loss.. gassed and deflated... this will more than likely be a bullpen game... Miami bullpen is worked and Chicago off a travel day / early ppd... line jumped from -125 to -155... sharps did that .. public suckered into buying it back down to -140... I wouldn’t touch this game personally but you might wanna think about the Miami triple A offense and taxed bullpen.. not saying your wrong but if .. I’d be surprised if cubs didn’t win

I was aware of those details prior to making the bet...but thanks for reiterating them..
Line now down to Miami +122...
Wondering how the "public" is moving this line down when the Cubs are a much more "public" team than the Marlins...and I believe even the public, is aware of the Miami tanking strategy for the year...
While Yu Darvish still has a "public" reputation as a good pitcher...which he no longer is and never will be in my book...
My thoughts...the public is who drove the line up initially based on the Cubs public persona and Yu's old reputation...and the sharps are now driving it down after looking at the game closely and realizing Miami is starting a much better pitcher...
We'll find out tonight...

Cincinnati... +155... 3
units...I'll take a shot at Kershaw here on his first start post
rehab...usually it takes him at least a couple of starts to get back in
his groove...
St. Louis +122...I'll take Hudson over Peralta here...St. Louis has a +16 run differential vs -6 for the Brewers...
Toronto/Minnesota F5...U 4.5... +105...5 units...riding my friend undermysac on this one...liked his analysis...
That's more than enough for tonight...but...I have a strong lean on the OVER Cleveland/Seattle game tonight...will decide later on if I play it or not...

Yea honestly not a fan of Richards .. like I said bullpen game.. both starting pitchers are bad in my opinion .. just cubs have a big league lineup and the marlins lineup is filled with mostly minor leaguers who can’t hit and veterans past there prime ..

Yea I mean high walk rate last year.. players tend to lead to there trends .. he’s young and inconsistent.. as for darvish ... darvish is hitting 96.. so everyone freaking out saying he doesn’t have it .. well when you miss a year with injury and have an abbreviated spring.. people don’t get it takes a beat to build up arm strength and crispness on pitches.. I knew it was just a matter of time thought it would take a couple more starts.. haha ex college Pitcher here ...

Yeah..he is looking pretty sharp early on...we will see how he does after 50 pitches...that's where he has problems in the past...
