Wow sailing. Asking the Dodgers to cover 2 RL in a row is like asking and receiving BJ's on consecutive nights from your girlfriend.

the oddsmakers obviously forgot about that and are giving you 2 to 1 against a guy who got slammed in the head.....dude this is factored into the line and if anything this line is high....a lot of covers members like the pads which means that its a no play

I think the Dodgers will win this one.  This being the last game of the homestand, and with them sporting an unimpressive 3-3 mark against lowly division foes the D-Backs and the Padres, I think the team is going be focused on at least making this a winning homestand before they board the charter flight to Phoenix tonight.  By now I think the Dodgers have to be fed up with their mediocre play at home since the All-Star break.  Remember, this is a team that began the year by winning its first 13 games at Dodger Stadium.  Since that great start, though, they're just 30-28, and since the break, a lousy 15-15 at home. 
 
You might think the Dodgers will take the Padres lightly, but I doubt that.  Friday night's embarrasing shutout loss at the hands of Wade LeBlanc might have been a wakeup call (or at least I hope it was).  The stadium was dead that night, and so were the Dodger bats, and I think it became apparent that night that the Dodgers had been playing with very little urgency every time they weren't playing off a loss.  Last night, playing off of Friday night's loss, the Dodgers showed up and blew out the Padres.  So here's a chance tonight to redeem themselves for several things:
 
 
1) for playing lifelessly following Thursday night's win over Arizona
 
2) for sleepwalking through half of this homestand (the homestand has been LOSS-WIN-LOSS-WIN-LOSS-WIN
 
3) for playing uninspired .500 ball at home since the All-Star break
 
 
 
Plus, those darn Rockies have been whipping the teams they're supposed to whip, and as a result the Dodger divisional lead is down to just 4 games (at the break they were 9 games up on Colorado!)
 
 
This is hardly just another home game for the Dodgers, in my opinion.  This one's important.  They've been scuffling for almost two months now and they know it.  Their divisional lead is shrinking and they're in danger of losing another home series, this one on Sunday Night Baseball with everyone watching and against the Padres, who are like a little kid brother that you CANNOT let anyone witness beating you at anything.  Let's see if the Dodgers are made of anything tonight.  I wouldn't risk the runline here, but I think this is one two dollar favorite that will get it done.  They ain't shit if they don't (and they know it!!)

I disagree.. I think it's a big game for the Pads too. They have been playing good baseball over the last 35 or so games. They have yet to win a series vs the Dodgers this season.. The game is on national tv.. What better way to show this little streak isn't just some good luck.

Plus Kuroda 1st game back and -230 is either a SD play or no play.

How can any game really be "big" for a team that waved bye-bye to the pennant race four months ago?  I suppose the Padres might be excited at the chance to play on ESPN, but how excited?  Not that excited.

Well it's as big as they are going to get for a while..I'm sure they would like to win a season series.. Just 1 against the mighty LA Dodgers..

Be honest.. You just don't like the Pads because the a lot of people are on them!

That last line wasn't english.. I think you get the point. I played them small.. I hold a special place in my heart this season for the Padres.. 3 times this season I have needed them to complete a parlay as the late game.. And all 3 times they have done it. Here's for 4
