This man deserve a U.S. Citizenship after this perfect game!
I just started watching baseball in mid-2017. Got interested in it because of betting. I don't know how many games I've watched but last night I had my only bet of the day on German. Watched the entire game. I feel like I won the lottery of long shots.
There are 4,860 starting pitchers per year in the regular season. Last perfect game was in 2012. Odds of watching this happen were about 1 in 48,000

in 2010, Armando Galarraga of Detroit should have been awarded a perfect game vs Cleveland, but on the ground ball that should have been the 27th out, first base umpire Jim Joyce wrongfully called the runner safe which killed the perfect game and no hitter. This travesty robbed Mr Galarraga of a potentially life changing magic moment and would ultimately lead to his demise. This bad call would strongly influence the institution of replay reviews in baseball.
so sad cuz the next day Galarraga, like a true gentleman, takes the lineup card out to Jim Joyce who was in tears for fucking up that hige call.

so the odds of a perfect game are about that of hitting a royal flush on a video poker machine. in 2012, there were 3 of them, Matt Cain vs Houston sandwiched by the 2 at safeco field in Seattle. Phillip Humber of Chicago White Sox at Seattle and Felix Hernández of Seattle vs Tampa Bay. Both of those Seattle perfect games should have an asterisk cuz they were day games and the glare was ridiculous and furthermore King Felix was beneficiary of Enrique Palazzo behind home plate.
