Just wondering how many cappers out there play the over/under at wrigley field depending on the wind conditions. I took over 9.5 tonight as the wind was blowing out at 13 MPH, I think if it is going out at over 10 MPH or coming in faster than 10 MPH it definitely helps sway the over/under. I will do my best to track this phenomenon and see if it truly does help.

I will second Depressed for the very first time. The wind plays the biggest factor in totals at Wrigley field. Hence the books not putting up the total until the day of game.
The only reason we got 9.5 today is that the Pirates offense is terrible. With the wind blowing out 13mph any other team involved would have had the total 10 at least.

I used to go with the matchups at Wrigley, but now I fully believe in the power of that wind, it is the only ballpark where the weather has such a large effect on the outcome of the game. Thats what I believe anyway. I'll start my tracking from yesterday and run it through the end of the year, and probably go for the full season next year.
Yesterday I put 115 to win 100 on over 9.5 at wrigley

I suggest you check the weather conditions of the zipcode of Wrigley Field (60613) right before game time and then make your decision. I live in Chicago and I can tell you we have some of the most unpredictable weather of any city in the nation. The lake effect makes winds shift quickly. Rarly is the wind blowing out hard, expecially this time of year. The crazy days when the over hits 13 are usually in the spring and not when it is hot. The books have been burned in the past so they won't post an over under till closer to game time and just like everything else they are way ahead of the average better in inside knowledge. Beware, no easy money here.

I wish you luck Corporaljoker but you need to wait to make an assumption on wind at wrigley. The wind almost always dies down at sunset and the game is stating at seven central stardard time. I might even go under as Demster is rock solid at home and tha cubs line up is a triple A bunch. The pirates pitcher is a consistant loser on the road but dammit there is too much chalk to take the flubs.

I use the weather.com forecast which is set for gametime, whether or not that is accurate is another story of course. We shall see what gametime conditions look like but my bet is already in

because the first 2 flew over the total. wind is still out, although not as much, and people will bet the over knowing all of this. i'm going under today.

Lol thanks happy, I just use the readily available info at weather.com and so far so good, I laid off today but would have been leaning towards the under as Romper took.
As we saw the first two days I started tracking this, the teams didn't matter nearly as much as the wind did, because both of these teams are horrid offensively but put up double digits.

Well this one should be interesting, wind is blowing out at 21 MPH with an 80% chance of rain. Since it is a day game I will assume they can finish eventually, and if the wind holds steady out and the pitchers get replaced by the bullpens early on... I am on the over tomorrow when it is posted. Will let ya know in the morning what line I got

Well rain is no longer an issue, down to 10% today, wind is still blowing out at 20 MPH, but it is to right field. So the lefties should have a field day with a knuckleballer on the mound.
I got over 10.0 at EVEN money. 100 to win 100
