After watching the Florida/Washington series this weekend, it occurred to me loud and clear, that the Nationals are doing all of these things, and it's now no surprise to me how they keep winning more games than they lose. This is only one game, and you may very well win, but like many fans and bettors out there, I suspect you are not giving this team nearly enough respect. I for one will be confidently placing my money on Washington tonight.

Maine is 5-1 with a 3.03 ERA in six starts against the Nationals since 2008, posting a 0.82 ERA in winning both outings at Citi Field. His eight career victories versus Washington are his most against any opponent
Atilano had the worst start of his young career last week and as a rookie, it may be hard to bounce back from that right away... I really think the Mets are starting to get some of there bats back, just need to score with risp...
Tonight is a great spot for the Mets to get the week off to a good start and I am not taking anything away from the Nats, they are a much better team then we have seen in the past, but they are still not very good... I like Maine to shut them down tonight and the rookie to give up a few... 7-2 final tonight! BOL boys hope you have a great night

The Mets however are not even in the same league as these teams, and if we are cherry picking spots to play them, I suppose seeing "Nationals" on the jersey and Maine on the mound (given how he's feasted off them) amounts to enough evidence to open the wallet, see what happens.
