Buddy it was EXTREMELY lucky.  I still don't know why Mo wasn't in at the top of 9, but congrats and BOL!

He's already a winner!
It boils down to the Steinbrenner family and how much they're willing to carry on their father's tradition of winning (buying).
My favorite Yankee team(s) were the 98-00 3-peat champs, with Derek leading the way. They kept the same nucleus in tact, for the most part, and had a special chemistry that brought them to the dynasty level in the late '90s.
They're far from being eliminated, but I just don't think they exemplify the same dominating qualities they had in their prime time years.

But I might just be rooting for the Yanks if the price is right!
