The Boston Red Sox are sitting at .500 for the season and would like to finish at or better than .500. It has been a mixed bag this season for Boston. They started slow, got hot for a while, and then settled in as a .500 team. Tanner Houck is more promising than his record this season, but like Boston, he had his ups and downs on the mound. Houck went through a stretch where Boston won nine of ten of his starts but also went through a stretch that saw Boston seven straight off his starts. It has been a tale of hot and cold for Houck, but he has been on the hot side since winning two of three. The Jays are in the basement of the AL East and playing young players to see what can help them next year. They won't help them today, and I like Boston in this one.
