Looked long and hard at this game and with these starting pitchers on the mound, Crawford vs Keller, the 5 inning total is calling my name. Red Sox have been good OTR, Pirates are doing what they do every year, start off with a bang and fade quickly although with Keller pitching they seem to play better. Can't say the same for the Red Sox and Crawford who's been lights out, 0.42 ERA, but either doesn't get run support or of course the BP blows it for him, he has no decisions and the Sox have lost 3 of his starts, WTH? Which leads me right back to the first 5 total. Crawford has only surrendered 1 ER all season and only allowed 2 runs period, one vs Seattle, one vs LAA . Keller appears to be rounding into form after 2 sluggish starts with 2 wins his last 2 starts giving up only 2 runs in each start, 7 innings vs Phillies, 6 IP vs Detroit. No Rafael Devers again for Boston after scoring 8 runs yesterday on 12 hits.
Neither offense strikes fear into opposing pitchers, Pittsburgh hitting .239 vs righties and have only scored 6 runs in 4 consecutive losses while the Sox are only hitting.227 vs righties, coming off a big offensive game and now facing a solid pitcher in Keller and again, no Devers, regression should be coming today.
If I lose this game no prob, this is the play, win, lose or draw, you can't and won't win them all.
UNDER 4, 1st 5, -105
As always good luck to all!
