Thats a good run, doesnt mean anything really though except hes due to get beat. Volquez had a 1.95 era in Sept and look how that turned out

Let me get this straight Philly backers
the 23-3 record should count when it backs up your side of the argument.
The 0-2 record was with the those shitty Astros.
Is that correct?

Hes right you cant use 23-3 and not use 0-2 this year just because it suits you. The 23-3 was with the Astros as well. And if ur gonna try and discount the 0-2 this year casue the astros were shitty then fine, but u gotta discount the 23-1 becasue the Reds were shitty as well. Its not like there all thinking man he was 23-3 against us in the past, there saying we beat him 2 times already.
4-0 ok thats good era under 4 ok cool, that means he gives up some runs. I will point out that Arroyos postseason numbers came in the AL, (the stronger league some may say) and pitching against the Yankees, and also it wasnt all as a starter so u give up 1 run in 1 inn thats gonna up the ERA.
And no im not laying my money because hes due to lose, in fact im not layign any money because I dont bet on my teams, if I was going to I would bet the Reds to cover the spread and the Over. You wanna make a big deal about how he finished the season so strong since coming to Philly, wat im saying is he is about to to take a beating sooner or later.

This guy is a bonafide brainiac.
Do you think maybe the reason the Reds relievers have logged more innings is because the Phillies just had a pitcher go 9 innings? Maybe?

Question is why are u still talking, theres a reason my first post was quoting the guy that said 23-3 enough said. Then u came and chimed in with ur ignorant ass. If you are going to bring up a guys ERA that is high in the postseason and compare it to another guys postseason stats. I think its only fair to look at where and wat league they pitched in. You only help me when u say that the AL has a higher ERA due to a DH becasue that is what Arroyo was pitching against. Look it up 10 career postseason games, only 2 starts. So like I said before if u pitch in relief and give up a run or 2 then ur ERA is gonna take a hit.
The reason I am "running my mouth" is because I am tired of looking at ppl using 23-3 as the reason y oswalt will win when the 23-3 is totally irrelevant
And it also has been said to be the better league over the past decade, not saying it is or has been. Although I would tend to agree with that for the most part.

What a douche bag.
Volquez will start Wednesday and will shut them down. His ERA versus Philly is awesome. I believe this series will be very low scoring and Cincy has the bullpen to squeak out a series victory. that was u right?

"Much is being made of Oswalt's 23-3 career record against the Reds, but that resume is misleading enough in the context of the present to qualify as a baseball Trojan Horse".
"The last Cincinnati lineup to lose consecutive games to Oswalt, at the tail end of the 2008 season, included only two current Reds: Joey Votto and Jay Bruce. Houston lost five of Oswalt's last six starts against the Reds. And the current Reds roster's cumulative lifetime average against him is a solid .290."
"The other, Laynce Nix, is a big weapon against Oswalt, off whom he is 9-for-17 lifetime, including two doubles and three home runs."
